Bjorn, for me your reviews are working. it's honest, the way you experience it. a real live , and even life, experience. ;) Many other reviewers are quite pre-occupied about VW, specially when they are in love with many Tesla pro's (and Tesla has for sure many positive aspects) . You're actually almost the only one , together with your Norwegian colleague and friend Chris, who's very positive about the ID3/4. I notice that many American reviewers (ID4) are quite negative about the ID. Why? I'm not sure, I think it's just a different way of car use in Europe and the value we connect with cars in Europe. compliments again and cool that there are more good EV's on the road. the more the better. About the windbag on the bridge, As a pilot I can tell you , we have them on the airports too. One color band is reflecting 5 kts of wind. so, a full horizontal windbag represents 25kts. Good that you take more care about your food. What you eat is what you are. ! enjoy the day.

I am not an American or European. I just watch this EV content cause I love it. After watching a lot of videos my take away is that non-tesla independent charging infrastructure sucks in America. You can watch Bjorn's video of all the car he has tested charging them is not an issue for him. Compare it with electrify America and you can understand why they hate anything which is not a tesla. MKBHD made a nice video about it. Porsche tycan is really a great car comparing it with Model S. But charging is where a tesla will beat tycan literally any time. Plus the fanboi thing is also a factor in America.

VW reports two different bits of information based on where they're displayed, wheel circumference is different depending on if it's for the dash cluster or for distance calculation. So, yes, but this car seems to have the intended setup where the distance should be correct. What I've seen reports of is that the car will also correct speed information if it is allowed to be online to -3 km/h. If it's offline, it will use the normal calculations. Fun stuff. You would need to use external measurement tools with dead reckoning to have correct data in all cases.

well the shape is the reason why there is so much space inside. The hood is extremly short in ID cars, so that more length is for the inside of the car, if you have a more classic hatcback shape liek the golf, you loose space on the interieur. And about the design, taste is subjective. I think the ID.3 does not look that bad and does a good compromise between looking futuristic and looking normal.

Yes the inside is too "glossy" imo, i don't like that, but at least it is "organized" in the i3 it looks way to messy. If they would swap out some of the glossy black parts with less glossy ones, that would be ideal, but somehow "piano black" is still seen as premium, even tho many people dislike it. But i really have to see it in person. I have i have heard anything from "catastrophe" to "much better than anyone says" regarding the interieur. Maybe VW will change the materials, a little bit.
