I have 2 t25s mine wont start up at all it starts off a jump but then switch off n wont start up again dunno if crap battery or the alts going

I did have a fault on the starter motor solenoid of my wife's Clio some years ago. Occasionally when the ignition was turned to start, there would be nothing, no click from the solenoid, no dimming of lights, and certainly no spinning starter. Just pulling the lead from the ignition switch off the solenoid and replacing it was a temporary cure. I guess there was an internal bad connection in the solenoid. I just replaced the starter motor as a unit, solenoids on their own didn't appear to be available, problem solved.

Christopher Clifton Now that is exactly what I have had. I tested the solenoid and it works so perhaps it’s the lead 👍 Thanks for your advice.

Hey, when you activated the starter motor the bendix spins, but it doesn't pop out like it should. Could it be that your starter is spinning when you are turning the ignition but the bendix hasn't engaged the flywheel? When you cranked the engine before removing it could you hear a whirring sound? If so, then maybe your starter motor has a bad solenoid and isn't popping out the bendix gear

Conor N No unfortunately it did nothing no sound at all. I suspect a dodgy earth 👍 Hopefully I will be working on it tomorrow 👍 Thanks for your connect much appreciated.

Brassic Yeah a big problem for everyone at the moment, but fingers crossed we have some light at the end of the tunnel. All good here and a plus side to all this home time is that I have completely renewed the whole front suspension on our van so now on to the rear end. It’s been lowered by 40mm all round and got new wheels going on next week with new brakes all round aswel. So got a few more weeks off atm and should be able to get it all done in that time. 👍👍 what’s the next lot of plans for the van 🤔🤔 and I see you sorted out the Land Rover got any takers on it yet 🤔🤔

@@Steve-jd1rr Good work!! Sounds like you have been very busy :) Post some pictures. With my van I think the next thing is going to be to sound deaden the inside as it's a bit like driving a tin can at the moment lol. I thought about lowering mine but was worried about the ride, let me know what it's like. Yes that's one land rover done lol. No takers yet but no rush :) Yes there is light at the end of the tunnel :) Thankfully !!

All pictures on IG @vwbertie85, and the lowering has made such an improvement to the ride and road handling, no more banking over when the van corners lol. But well worth it, I have some shiney new wheels going on next week, new injectors going in and of course the dreaded rear brakes are getting overhauled. 😳😳

Turned out the exhaust was not totally in 1 piece lol 😂
