Hello! Your work on this T3 is amazing! I watch every video of yours. I find it very inspiring. My bus is in a little worse shape, but thanks to the tips and tutorials you post, that will change soon! Greetings from Bulgaria! Please share a little more about the metalworking machines, presses and tools you use. Especially those for forming the corners and reinforcing bends.

comments a year plus later... i would like to see all details. but understandably not realistic. it does help to at least show the tools and major steps once in a while. its great for beginners and also to see how others do the work. Thanks!

@@OllarisGarageyes I'm abit nervous but if it's made of metal it can be fixed, you made an excellent job of it, and saving an old classic is worth the effort.

What a ton of work. Great job, especially getting the shots in such a small space. Glad you bought some body work tools. Mahalo for sharing! : ) 🐒
@OllarisGarage3 жыл бұрын
I’m glad too. I wanted to get some to play around and this was the perfect excuse to buy them especially that one of the replacement panels costs more than all the tools that i bought.

Hey Sebastian, you should be putting down liquid lead under those plates, then when you spot weld or weld you get a lead flow just as the factory did. It's not expensive or difficult, but the end result is much much better. Cheers and thanks for the great videos.

With seam sealer. Try applying a gob smooth it the way you did. Then with glove on apply WD-40 to gloved finger and smooth out. Also WD-40 will remove sealer, silicone, and vulcanizing caulk from your skin. Thanks for the content I just purchased my first syncro!
@OllarisGarage3 жыл бұрын
Congratulations to getting a syncro! I’ll definitely try the wd40! Did you encounter any issues with painting over it? Or did you rinse it of after the seam sealer is dried?
@samx90243 жыл бұрын
@@OllarisGarage let the sealer dry and rinse it off before painting.
@OllarisGarage3 жыл бұрын
Cool! Is brake clean ok for that?
@samx90243 жыл бұрын
@@OllarisGarage Im sure it is. I generally use a light detergent in warm water. Then I will dry with cloth. Hit it with compressed air if your in a rush to ensure all the moisture is removed.

Just came across your impressive videos as I am about to start some work on my T3 Camper. I don't have your skills but I am about to start repairing the rusty seams on my van and then reseal them. Do any of your videos cover step-by-step seam repair? If not, will your future videos include seam repair? Thank you for helping us keeping our VW's alive! BTW, someone below mentioned that you are Magyar -funny as I'm half now living in Canada...Cheers and thanks for the good work you do!

how do you open side doors if you lost the keys....bought the truck with locked doors
@OllarisGarage2 жыл бұрын
Do not break the lock if possibe! They are hard to get. Google lock picking tools and watch a few videos. In worst case you could call a locksmith.
