@@onytfromyt lol that's not his point but @ericchong9864 gave a good point. in the end of the day, you want everything cheap. most likely there is no growth. we need to be willing to increase our base knowledge and also know our worth. Malaysia have a lot of talent leaving is because our salary range in malaysia is shitty. Taiwan has a better fresh grad pay and their cost of living is quite similar to ours. That's the best closest example i can give that proves his point.
Working in Malaysia, loyalty does not pay. This is what I learnt from the past.

Depends on what kind of boss the company has. There's also a lot of bosses in Malaysia that put loyalty before capability.
@khangmin35124 ай бұрын
Yes, loyalty will earn you nothing, the boss will just feel like he hit the jackpot got an employee willing to work for him with a salary lower than the market price and won't appreciate at all, but in the end still depends on what kind of person the boss is

i got +8300 increment from job hopping in IT industry, 6 years of experience(and 1 and a half year gap), 5 companies, something i dont think any promotion/yearly increment/bonus can justify it isnt too unpopular in this generation tbh, company loyalty is a joke considering how much increment they can pay you my opinion is, if you can get hired for higher paying jobs, it clearly isnt a problem one question the interviewer forgot to ask after this question at 19:54 is - how can employers keep their employees? obviously because no one wants to pay more, unless you are irreplaceable, which is very rare in IT industry

Sorry but I'm flabbergasted by what the boss said, clearly discriminating the locals in KV. Outsiders sacrifice their family for money, that's their choice la...I missed the part where that's my problem~ So, locals are less preferred because they are unwilling to move away?? No matter how many A's you have, this mindset is a no no ==

Let's say , about work life balance, it is more dependent on employers then employee. In most European and advanced Western country, their employment policy is prioritised to offer more freedom and benefits to their employees, and working 40hours less per week. So i personally feel most Asia"s employer is meanness compare to Western country.

The perspective from a business owner's standpoint may prioritize cost-effectiveness, leading to a preference for hiring foreign workers due to potentially lower salary requirements. However, this raises concerns regarding fairness to local employees, who face higher living expenses and lack the option to relocate to areas with lower costs of living. If the sole focus remains on skill level, it could result in a disproportionate number of foreign workers in the Malaysia job market, potentially displacing Malaysian workers.

It's sad to know that people find 5000 RINGGIT as fresh grad salary is good. You should compare internationally. 5000 ringgit is only about 1400sgd and 1000 usd That is a low income. Malaysians are setting their standards too low. Singaporean fresh grad salaries is around 4000 to 5000 Singapore dollars. If u are in tech, it can even starting 10000 singapore dollars. You got to benchmark your salaries internationally and not local, the ringgit has very little buying power. Set your targets higher.
