hey all, this is among the first videos that i've had edited by an editor for this channel. for the past year, i said that i was gonna keep things relatively the same when it comes to scripted content and all that, but that year is almost done. i said in the past that i was eventually going to be rotating to more unscripted content for things like weapon reviews or guides and stuff like that and this is the start, so i hope the format change isn't too jarring. i actually think the video flows very nicely and the editor did a great job considering it was their first video for me. i will still have scripted content on the channel like first impressions, thoughts videos on certain topics and other stuff. but for the in between content like weapon reviews or season events, or more fun stuff like the dreaming city chest video or the imbaru engine, i plan on utilizing editors to give myself a little more time to... myself. we'll talk more closer to my 11 year update video about this more if there are any issues.

@@JustAFishBeingAFish Explosive Head gives more base damage to the bow itself, 15% more I think. It's the same combination as Zalou's Bane, it's like a mini legendary sunshot, but able to do it with a bow. And while the Ignition is very fun, I don't tend to find much actual use in it? With 2 more shots I clear an area and proc an ignition just the same, and Explosive Head also allows me to be less precise and more run and gun with it, which is how I play anyways.

Tyrrany enjoyer reporting in, this is my most used legendary weapon since that big push for Last Wish farming with goldies a year or so ago. The fact that Incandescent activates off of Dragonfly kills is the magic here. If you have more than 2 enemies in a group, and you Dragonfly them, you just set of a thermonuclear fallout. E-Incandescent is a WILD trait.

I prefer my Under Your Skin if I'm using a legendary bow. The perks are great, whenever we have Anti-Barrier Bowstring on the Artifact, I can pull out my Archer's Tempo+Adaptive Munitions Under Your Skin, too. Land Tank's bonus Resist is just nice for being a tank.

I find that the bow shines in content like solo dungeons and similar, where the enemies aren't quite as tanky as GMs, but you need giga ad-clear without sacrificing your exotic slot.

in that content an smg or hand cannon can easily surpass the bow since there is no draw time and the bazillion solar perks also benefit those should you choose to use a solar one,besides theres no need to be far away with a bow in content where stuff hits like wet noodles.

This, explosive head incandescent is absolutely my 'I want this bow to feel good' roll. Sure you lose a bit off the top end, but your bottom end smooths out so much nicer and you can just spam shots so much more freely knowing anything you do will get the kill you desire, and more things will die thanks to the free extra damage.

I think the reality is its never going to compete with an exotic bow. However, it's a decent enough option to enable you to use an exotic special or heavy alongside the bow playstyle. There was nothing there that can't be similarly achieved on an SMG or Auto with a similar perk combination, and those would far better in a pinch against higher health enemies.

I really like these legendary weapon assessments that you do. It helps bring more attention to some primaries that are legitimately good, even if in circumstantial situations; and having that sort of attention on these primaries can help kind of shape an understanding on what the goal post should be for a decently designed legendary primary. In PvE it is basically just a worse Zaouli's tbf. In PvP it is actually decent if you've got harmoniser bumping it's stats - just doesn't have quite as much range as you'd like. But yeah, for a guaranteed easy to get drop it's really good

I have a Wolftone Draw in my vault that has over 2k kills because of Dragonfly. I used it a lot in Season of the Lost in GMs and seasonal content. I do think Tyranny is good, but I think it's overly reliant on the broken solar nonsense in the artifact. It is a lightweight bow. And so in high end content, it just doesn't have the kill power that a precision bow has, and that makes proccing Dragonfly harder than it needs to be. But I totally agree that for things like Coil or other seasonal stuff, or just stuff with less beefy enemies in general, Tyranny of Heaven is good fun.

A good way to describe it is that it's like Caliban's Hand. It isn't that great agains't higher health enemies, but if there's a group of adds, then they are gonna go BOOM. It's good weapon, but not overpowered.

Definitely one of my favorite legendary solar weapons...at least before the sandbox changes this season. Since the sandbox changes though it's really hard to put down my Heal Clip + Incandescent Heliocentric QSC, and I'd honestly like to try one with Frenzy instead of Incandescent particularly for playing on non-solar subclasses. I've found that with the introduction of Dragon's Breath it's really valuable to have a strong solar legendary to pair with it. One that helps cause ignitions in particular is even better. Granted I'd LOVE to try a Heal Clip + Incandescent or Onslaught Summoner but I can't get one to drop.

when i got mine crafted i started running it with explosive head adagio and it makes it very easy to do both majors and any red bars with bow only. i also run mantle of battle harmony meaning well is almost always up and free damage boost.

Seriously though, I was in the same camp when it came to Dragonfly, because I also was used to how...Underwhelming it used to be and that it relied on a weapon mod to make proper use of it. I changed my outlook on that only quite recently myself. I realized I've been too harsh on it.

I think you make a great point about *most* legendary bows - an exotic is usually better. But I do agree Tyranny of Heaven is the exception - and to me the big difference is Explosive Head. I think it's a fairly unique perk and helps on solar shielded things/weaker adds. My favorite setup on it: Natural string, carbon arrow, archer's tempo and then obviously explosive head. Re-draw and aim are big for me.

My legendary weapon this season has been dire promise lol. I have Osmosis and overflow. Which on paper seems dumb, but considering the artifact perks and turning Dire into a solar weapon with a grenade throw, I can proc radiant and then head shot ignition enemies. Which has been very fun

I like Tyrany of Heaven when I want to run Dragons Breath or need to run Gally for the fireteam. If you need an exotic in another shot, this is one of the best alternatives for solar. Always good to have a backup.

Tyranny has been my secret weapon for GM’s. It’s not super powerful all the time, but it experiences bursts of extreme power for a legendary weapon. This is a god tier weapon if you’re running a relevant heavy exotic or special exotic. Combined with relevant reload mods, it’s really nice. Combine it with a relevant scorch build, (dawn chorus gang rise up) and you’re cooking. UNFORTUNATELY, it suffers from “lightweight bow syndrome” where its lower damage and lower accuracy really hurts the weapon, despite the faster fire rate. Additionally, it’s also not in a vacuum. Zaouli’s bane has lower power spikes (lack of dragonfly), but hits shots faster, more often, and with most of the damage of tyranny. Its baseline performance is so much better than tyranny, that you gotta SPECIFICALLY be craving some bow action, to pick tyranny over zaouli’s. Otherwise, a perfectly acceptable weapon to run, I won’t blame anyone for picking this over another weapon.

Now we just need to convince Datto that Pulses aren't cringe anymore either after they've been buffed like 3 times over the past year. :P Insidous also has left column Dragonfly + One For All so you can get explosions that easily proc OFA for the damage buff, Oversoul Edict plays nice with Swashbuckler because of the Origin Trait so it's good in Melee builds, but my personal favorite is probably Chattering Bone with Kill Clip + Kinetic Tremors since Kill Clip lets you deal with smaller adds while still having Kinetic Tremors for bigger targets. (Jurassic Green with Heal Clip + Frenzy also plays nice since Frenzy is your damage and reload perk rolled together and Heal Clip gives extra survivability.)

I really like it for master lost sectors, two hits activates radiant with the artifact mod, causing second precision hit, if it is a kill, to: apply scorch, dragonfly explode (maybe killing things, causing incandescent explosions), incandescent explode, ignition explode. Use the fragment to apply scorch on ignitions, and incandescent applies scorch, dragonfly maybe applies some scorch, and yeah tldr lots of fire lots of explosions, can definitely chain multiple times in beefy groups.

I think it's mostly Raid Weapons that have access to Dragonfly x Incandescent, Voltshot, Destabilising Rounds right? After using Dragonfly x Voltshot on the LW Hand Cannon & especially the LW AR with Dragonfly x Destabilising on Hunter with Gyrfalcons I'm very much sold on these pairings! Being able to wreck trash & damage higher tier enemies in one shot, spreading Scorch, Jolt or Destabilising/Volatile makes clearing entire rooms way easier, especially when you have multiplied FT Members with access to Scorch etc.

I enjoy all of my exotic bows in all three slots, but Tyranny of Heaven feels almost like an exotic itself while leaving a slot free for something like Dragon’s Breath, Arbalest, or even Wish-Ender if you like bows as much as I do. I know a lot of people are opposed to double primaries, but Wish-Ender and Tyranny of Heaven have served me well in some Legend and Master lost sectors.

I run this bow with my precious scars solar titan.having this bow and sun spots everywhere,it really pops off. use explosive head instead of dragonfly to get that bump to a one shot kill.doesnt work for every red bar but adding minor spec helps too
