i dont have an issue with Michael being declared the winner here, but what i do have a problem with his the inconsistency of the calls in a major matches in WAL. When he faced Jerry Cadorette, Michael got called for dropping his shoulder below his elbow multiple times in a losing position, and thus lost the match to Jerry, but Bart didn't call him on it once in this match, even though it happened MULTIPLE times. The rule book says you can't drop your shoulder below your elbow in a losing position, and Bart gave absolutely no warnings to Michael in this mtahc, completely inconsistent with the other matchup.... there needs to be consistency

Devin pinned him @ 19:01 and 19:08, which should've been the match. Todd's shoulder under the pad @ 19:39, 19:52, 20:02, 20:11, 20:13, 20:47, 20:56. Todd's elbow is literally sitting on the table @ 20:05. Devon's wife calls out that Todd is "below the table" @ 20:57 and the ref says "he's allowed to be", which he isn't. WAL Rules state clearly that the competing shoulder cannot drop below the pad if an opponent is in a "neutral or losing position," which the Kings move is by definition, so that's total bullshit. This is gross. WAL, you need to enforce the rules on Michael Todd. Look at how many of your fans hate this shit. The guy is dropping his shoulder below the pad constantly, which is against the rules. The rules also state the "tip of the elbow", and he's clearly breaking that rule too. Michael Todd fouled out of this match about twenty times, and the ref just ignored it totally. This match should've been Devon's by a mile if even 25% of those faults on Todd were called. Totally, totally gross. And the ref is so obviously biased against Devon the whole way. You're never going to be earn mainstream status or popularity if you don't sort this shit out. Enforce the rule on shoulder drop and find a way to actually call elbow fouls or you're just diminishing the value of your own product.

While technically, that's not listed as a foul on your Rules > Fouls section, it sure as heck should be... HOWEVER!!! Foul #10 is - "10. Competitors cannot drop the competing shoulder below the level of the elbow pad when in a negative or losing position." directly from the website. 6:16 / 8:53 / 11:32 / 20:10 You're just going to let those slide I guess? No correction during the match? No repeated foul calls during the match? You know for sure if you called foul and had him stand up even 6" Devon could have pinned him. It's virtually impossible to pin someones arm that is already fully extended straight and they are on the opposite side of the table with their shoulder below the table... You'd have to hyper extend the elbow, which is probably what was happening and why Michael was popping up at 12:15... Additional rules need to be set in place to preserve the "ARM"wrestling nature of the sport. Not the "Pull a 260+lb man off the floor or break his arm/elbow"wrestling that we see here... If you want to allow him to pull this maneuver, a simple rule of "When the arm becomes fully extended, the match has been won" should be implemented. (although that would inherently disregard one of your other rules as stated above). Or perhaps just a rule like "Top of the hip must remain above 3/4 (or 1/2) the height of the table". devlarratt should have taken the W on this match for sure... I have an understanding of the sport. I know what the king's move is. I can see how it's effective. But what you don't typically see is someone trying to sit on the ground EVERY SINGLE MATCH! The king's move can be used effectively but Michael is taking it to an extreme, all the time! He drops so low and constantly keeps his shoulder at or below table height. His elbow rarely rests on the pad because his arm is either turned too much or he's hanging off the side of the pad a ton! He pulls you so far off center that even at full extension of his arm you're still not able to contact the pad with his hand. You can't make his hand or wrist drop below the pad because arms don't bend past 180*. So what that tells me is his elbow is off the pad and too low, or his shoulder is too low... But I'm guessing I'm wrong about that too...

You are so right. I watched the video a couple of times. 2nd round Devon got distracted a lot...and suddenly gives a quick go when his body language* clearly he was unprepared. You are spot on that his arm was extended and sitting under the table, Devon sweating like crazy could only win if he pulled + the entire weight of Micheal who is by the way much heavier than Devon (years ago too). It is a technique in science, creating a bridge...sitting with weight under the table. Micheal was not sweating as much. Devon being lighter was at a huge disadvantage. There is an argument/speculation that after Todd broke his arm it healed a certain way that causes a "bone lock" when he is in the Kings position, his arm can only extend so far and then just stops. The kings position is a rare move to see, but if you've ever seen another armwrestler do it its not a move you can just sit there and take a time out like Todd appears to do every time (Devon actually used the move against Matt Mask for example). The move is taxing and requires all your bicep/forearm muscles to work. Anyway, I think Todd is a turdburglar, its funny whenever he tries to armwrestle "normal" like when he did that against Denis Cyplenko and ran into a brick wall. Denis was all shocked then just instantly pinned him haha. The kings move should be allowed, but for pete's sake enforce the rule about the shoulder dropping below the pad. Most of these guys arms/forearms are so big that the "tip" of the elbow will occasionally come off the pad, but the shoulder is obviously dropping below the pad everytime todd does this crap.

Its not impossible to beat Todd, it just takes patience. Todd's kings move has been beaten plenty of times before, but like Devon said he let his ego get the best of him. He tried to power through Todd's kings move instead of waiting it out or using different techniques and leverage. Devon has great endurance, or at least he did, he is getting old afterall. @@Malboja They're allowed to put their feet on the table legs, and once the pull begins they're allowed to maneuver their shoulders however they want to gain an advantage. 95% of Todd's body was under the table, which is not armwrestling, it's bodyweight wrestling. Devon did a hell of a job holding him for so long. Not really sure what you were trying to argue since you didn't even know the rules.
