Thanks for your wise teachings. I feld 8 trees two days ago. The two biggest ones were birch,and also extremely tall. I did what you said. Used the power saw for a short amount of the time and wedged it the rest. Taking my time, checking the top, and using three wedges. The trees were about 20” across. Not huge, but big for me. First wedge in the back the two on both sides . Finally used my axe to make the face cut last. They fell beautifully. One inch holding wood on both. I screamed out,” BUCKIN BILLY RAY🪓!!!!!!!”. It was awesome. Also,” Timber”. 😅

Thanks Buckin', always good to be taught by an expert and legend. My pm 10-10 had a starting problem, so I rebuilt the carb, then took it apart 5-6 times trying to figure out the why it still wouldn't start: l;ow compression. All that practice was not annoying but I am grateful for getting the experience. I was intimidated by them but not now. Next is to replace piston and rings with my son, good times ahead. Thanks for sharing with us these videos, they're being used to educate and entertain. Your little babies are all grown up, feels good to see them sprout their wings.This too shall pass, one day at a time.

Excellent video and good that you pointed out the spacing the gaskets create on each side of the carburetor. I've rebuilt many and I forgot to put the gasket spacer on the fuel pump side of my leaf blower and it would not even think about starting. It creates a small area like the bowl of a 4 stroke for fuel to be stored in.

Buckin, I just wanted to say thank you. I live in a cabin I built almost 20 years ago and I was getting ready to start producing videos to help people learn how to live this way of life that has been long forgotten. I say thank you because no one knows everything and I've learned some crazy good tips from your teachings. I've tested most of what I've learned and all of them get utilized now. I write them down and make sure the next day I test them, then check them off. You've already saved me hours brother. Much appreciated and inspiring to teach others. 👍

@@BuckinBillyRaySmith I'm grand thanks B, it's been a different couple of months: I've become a stay-at-home dad lately, gained an appreciation for those that have always done that but have relished time with my wonderful family too. Less time to watch and comment but I've been keeping an eye on your videos, enjoying them when I can and as ever, appreciating what you do. I ran out of wood to split a couple of weeks ago, that Zenith is waiting for me, patiently. It's time we were reacquainted. I'll do some cutting this weekend. You're a gentleman B. If diaphragm has a crinkle, like the metering one does..Replace it, don't take the chance. You'll chase the mixture screws over, and over. It'll cause the saw to lean out, making it hard to keep running while cold. Then when it warms up, it'll run fine till you start over heating it under power. Then when you enrichen it with mixture screw, it'll run ok, but it will be too fat at uncontrollable times. Making the saw seem "unreliable" dying after you make a rip, because it was possibly overheating, richening it up more. Fouled spark plug is around the corner.

Hey Billy! What do you think about the harbor freight electric chain sharpener? I have one and it seams to always cut different on every chain..
@ericharris66014 жыл бұрын
They work in a pinch. There not centered right. Can’t keep accurate like you said. And there’s no link stability because if you use the brake, the disc is not in the correct location with the link. I used one for a while. The chains came out razor sharp but I made slotted screwdriver to stabilize the cutter and finesse every one. Now I got an Oregon it works way faster cause it’s located properly and can make adjustments better
