Wall of weird vintage electrical and electronic clocks new year flip

We had a pretty low key new year's eve at home this time, so we chilled next to the wall of clocks around midnight. We’ve got some heady clock company in there, including a cesium clock, a flown Soyuz clock and a giant vintage Solari flip clock. Happy New Year 2024 to you all.

Regarding the "Solari" clock, the "Udine" refers to the town in north-eastern Italy where the company was (maybe still is?) based. It's pronounced something like "Oo-din-eh". I love your channel - even though it makes me realise how little I know about so many things! Happy 2024 - or, if you prefer, MMXXIV !

They're still in Udine but have a maintenance facility in NYC - the subway station departure displays hanging from the ceiling (.... In 4min) are from Solari.

Happy New Year (in 20 minutes)! As I have my time scope set to trigger on the falling edge, I choose to celebrate new years based upon 1100z time, as that's when the entire earth has left 2023, with one of the last places still in 2023 being Midway Island!
