Abby thank you for everything you do, I am forever grateful to you. I am Palestinian Christian, though my Mom passed in 2004 at 58 she always told me stories of a kid of the horrific treatment of Palestinians (Yes Christians get treated just like Muslims). She grew up by the Nativity where Jesus was born in Bethlehem now occupied West Bank. I still have a ton of family there, it's getting worse outside of Gaza in other parts. It's so sad the Israeli perspective and even Western in some ways is that we are human animals when I grew up with the most loving family and the culture is sooo beautiful! We will always welcome friends and even strangers with open arms, a table full of yummy Arabic food, desserts, tea and treat them like our own. We have fun parties and enjoy everything else a normal human does. This perspective we are monsters is outright a joke and anyone who is well traveled knows this.

Thank you for this wonderful interview. Right from the beginning, Jaiya John’s beautiful words came to mind: “Oppression has no new moves. Study its playbook or get played. Oppression is the most predictable, unoriginal, uninspired, uncreative system of all. We cannot fail to be fluent in it. If we do not at last study and learn its ways, we will continue to fall for its lies. Do not allow yourself to be hoodwinked, bamboozled, led astray, run amok. Sharpen the propaganda detector in your gut. Use your soul eyes. See beneath the surface. Peer the treachery. Stay clear as to the essence of what threatens us all: dehumanization as a means of conquest, control, exploitation, and erasure. Cradle closely whatever keeps you from losing your soul. Hold onto your compassion and decency. They keep you from the abyss. Passivity is poison to liberation. Each day, find your will, your sacred reason and purpose. Tend that fire. Blow on the embers. Whatever freedom you have was earned long before you. Pass it on.

How would it look if there were 57 Jewish countries, and Jews were clamoring for a 58th, to give it to a group who never existed as a ppl, taking it from a group that can boast of 1000s of excavations in said land attesting to their history in their language, after losing several wars where one side wanted to annihilate the other, after 75 years. That is ridiculous. I’m not Jewish but this must be what they mean by anti-semitism. Abbie it was good to see you on Novara media with Ash Sarkar! You are truly a Titan amongst journalist. ❤ It was interesting, and I noted you with Brian Becker! It was refreshing to hear you both two years ago, discuss the cause of the Ukraine war and the provocations towards Russia, that became the final catalyst, inducing Russia special military operation into Ukraine, to halt Ukraine carrying out a potential genocide on the Russia speaking folk of the Donbas. It did appear you had a significant amount of empathy to the actions Russia participated in. It was also very interesting to note with Ash Sarkar, you appeared to flip your stance, with a notable comment, that you and your colleagues would have left RT had you still been there at the time of Russia’s special military operation. That may have been true, however you were soft with Ash regarding this conflict, Abbey, your are an exceptional Journalist, I follow you were ever I can, you only have to go back to your discussion with Brian Becker two years ago to see the contrast between your discussion and your discussion now with Ash Sarkar of Novara Media. Novara have constantly criticised Putin and his invasion, if invasive is an appropriate use of that word on for this conflict. I don’t know why you seamed to fall in line with Navarra, other than having a huge amount of support for their very honourable, legitimate and necessary stance on Gaza. I countered Novara’s stance on Russia and Ukraine on many occasion! It does appear they are now filtering my comments out, which was and is a concern, as I was an avid follower of their news outlet. The Gaza genocide in our time is a shameful indictment to humanity! My biggest wish is that all the unhinged psychopathic perpetrators of this murderous onslaught are bought to justice as soon as possible. keep doing great journalism Abbey 🥂

This is exactly how some Israelis talk. I used to get my hair done on 72nd street in NYC. It was an Israeli run shop. My hairdresser who was a very nice person to me-very chatty, did my hair very well (I have very thick curly AA hair) I was concerned that they might not be able to do AA hair textures and the guys said they have thick hair and can do all hair textures . They were right. One day sitting down in the chair my hair dresser was going off about Palestinians calling them animals, inhuman. I didn’t know a lot about Zionist project and the plight of Palestinians the , but I have a lot of Muslim friends and him going off on Muslims specifically Palestinians was insane.Especially since I am a woman of color. I have never heard someone say openly in a public space the things he was saying about Palestinians. It sounded like KKK talk. Never have I ever heard any Arabic or Muslim person speak this way about Israel or Jewish people. This has happened to me more than once is Israeli spaces and it sickens me.

What do you think the answer is to ending apartheid when it seems the dominant population in Israel has no intention of changing their policy? It would be interesting to contrast more with South Africa's movement but it's hard to see a resolution without a wider war with how much more entrenched it seems in Israel (combined with the instability in surrounding countries). I think public opinion can shift almost fast as policy though with the right storytelling.
