Walleye on the Columbia and Kootenay Rivers in BC.

We did a short trip to the Columbia to harvest walleye. Conditions were great and the weather cooperated which made our trip very enjoyable. This is a multi video project that will show us fishing for walleye and rainbow trout on conventional gear as well as fly fishing.

It is the Kootenay River at the old Brilliant Bridge near Castlegar. It is fine to fish there anytime. Most fly fish for rainbows.

Death rollers are a better hook and a green corky helps a lot as well I used to love fishing there but it gets to busy when the fishing is hot

I am always looking for tips, thank you I'll try those hooks next time. Yeah I noticed it's been fairly busy out that way but I never found it too busy.

We usually target deeper water pockets along the shorelines. The dams are a good place to start.

That is not the Columbia, and if you don’t know if you’re allowed to fish somewhere or not you should probably read the regs

It was in regards to the fishing tournament that was going on. Not the actual provincial regulations.
