You saved the day for me. I’m relatively new to shooting and I love my POQ M2 22 LR . I cleaned it but couldn’t reassemble it. This is a brilliant video . Thanks very much . All the best to you.

An extremely reliable .22 and a striker ... (yeah, I know, internal hammer) to boot... plus a 9mm of the exact dimension for an EDC. My wife has been wanting something like this, buying one tomorrow.

Excellent review. Well done. I have a Walther PPQ M2 9mm. It is accurate and has a very smooth trigger. My hands have become increasingly recoil sensitive in recent years, so now I am using the PPQ .22lr. It has the same excellent ergonomics but is much lighter than the 9mm. There is no restriction on minimum barrel length here in the USA (well, at least not in Texas), so I have the four inch barrel version. I carry it all day every day.

Enjoyed the review... I'm here in the Dallas area... I picked one of these up at the gun show and it did feel real good In the hand... It's going to be my next .22 purchase... We have the choice of three barrel lengths but I'm looking at the version you've got... I really like the fiber optic front sight, the longer barrel and the fact that it's full size, not downsized like a lot of .22 pistols... Oh, and just to rub it in, we get the 12 round mags.... Keep up the good vids...

I have the Walther PPQ Navy 9mm Best handgun I've ever owned! That trigger is amazing, and accurate as hell. Love it! I know what you mean on the cost of firearms, it's similar in Canada, yet we're next door to the US.
@ozziereviews10 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's a good pistol that's for sure… as for the prices, we have higher wages down here and I understand there's taxes etc but sometimes as you say, it makes you wonder how the price is justified as being almost double of the US market price…

Great review... tossing up between this gun ,beretta 92fs22 and buck mark contour 5.5 22. I used a guys ppq22 at my gun club and he had a lot of troubles and the gun shoots left due to a trigger issue. He had it fixed but it still pulls left and isnt accurate. This is obviously his gun not all ppq22? I shoot one hand 25m targets at my club. In your opinion which is the better accurate gun? They all feel good in my hand.
@JohnGrayLawfirmmarketer10 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the review. I think you're just about the first person worldwide to do a good video review of this model. I'm thinking about this as a first pistol for myself. But do you think a beginner mainly doing 25 metre shoots at this stage would be better off with a mark III or 22A if it meant having a 7 inch barrel?
@ozziereviews10 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching John, I think it is the only M2 rimfire review at the moment… I reviewed the Ruger MKIII target (5.5" barrel) and honestly nothing beats that pistol in terms of accuracy and price, so if you want something that is super accurate, the MKIII target is a good choice, however if you want something that is stylish and still accurate, the PPQ M2 is a good choice, it just depends on what your really want from the pistol…
@JohnGrayLawfirmmarketer10 жыл бұрын
***** Thanks Ozzie. Appreciate your comments. Hard to know as a beginner what will suit best and type of shooting you'll end up doing but I think you're right about the markIII. Hard to beat. Have used a few at the club and even the pretty cheap 7 inch 22A shoots pretty well. But that PPQ M2 just looks so good....hmmm....
@ozziereviews10 жыл бұрын
Yeah the M2 does look good and let's be honest it shoots well too, so you need to ask yourself this question: are you wanting to win or at least try to win every competition you go in or are you happy to shoot well and just have fun in the competitions? If you really like the look of the M2 buy it, you can always get a MKIII later or vice versa...

***** Finally got one of these last week after about a 4 month wait for new stock to come into Oz. Very happy with it so far. Gave it an initial strip and clean then shot a ISSF match with it after only a dozen or so sighters. Managed a new personal best (bearing in mind I'm a new to pistol shooting, weekend plinker not a comp shooter) so can't complain about the accuracy or performance. Trigger was initially pretty heavy and a little gritty but after about 250 rounds now it's smooth, lighter and breaks nicely. Not a choice for olympic target shooters but good enough for a solid D grader in ISSF with the look and feel of its 9mm big brothers. And great fun on the plates!

Thanks for your comment John, I'm glad to see you're happy with the pistol mate!

Hi, nice review. Maybe you can help me answer a question; compared to a Walther GSP, 22lr, how much harder is it to do precision shooting with a PPQ? And is the trigger on a PPQ better than on a GSP?
@FairladyS1308 жыл бұрын
Good review, better than most, but having a five inch barrel makes accuracy a relevant consideration here in Australia. Just because it's a light weight polymer it does not in my opinion follow that accuracy will suffer, this review unfortunately hardly addressed that important point. It's not a target pistol but that does not mean it can't be an accurate enough gun for some of us casual target shooters. So?

the PPQ m2 is what the P22Q should have been build like from the start from what i have read and seen online. I'm a die hard 1911 guy i have the gsg 1911 with the mods to make it work which should have been fartory standard, IF i had the money i would buy both the 9mm and .22 m2 in a hart beatand the 1911's would be safe queens. :)

Hi, I am looking at the walther ppq 22 or similar. I have been an ISSF shooter before with some decent guns and never got over c grade - so its me not the equipment... Consequently I want a plinker that is good enough for ISSF events in a fun way. I have tried the clubs walther ppq a few times and found the trigger gritty and hard to get to break - useless as is for any timed event. It feels nice in grips and sights but that trigger. What is your view after a few months (assuming you still have one)?. I don't see much after market trigger parts available. Would I be better off with a colt gold cup 22 because of the parts availability?
@ozziereviews10 жыл бұрын
If you want to lighten the trigger, the Colt 1911 in 22 would be better, I dropped a wilson combat sear and disconnector in mine and it was smooth as after that… so that would be my advice
@Boki_0010 жыл бұрын
Hi, I bought this pistol as well. You are shooting high just like I did when I took it out for the first time this past weekend. I wonder if this pistol is set up to shoot high. I ran 200 rounds through a target and if they were just 10-15 cms lower they'd be hitting the target. The rear sight is adjustable, but I didn't have a screw driver with me at the range. I'll make sure to bring one next time. My CZ P-09 was hitting around the bullseye. I know it has to be the gun not me. I even used a rifle rest and ran 20 rounds through a target. They were all too high. Have you tried adjusting the rear sight yet?
@ozziereviews10 жыл бұрын
This is common with the Walther pistols (my Colt 22 made by Walther did the same thing) but I found out further at 25-50 I was hitting all the targets so I didn't bother with any adjustments…
@user-cr5sg3so4y9 жыл бұрын
It's set to aim black 6 for papertargets! It's the common seting in Europe. Only duty pistols shoot to the center.

hey, just wondering if you can tell me if the walther ppq m2 .22 is the same size as the colt .22. I have shot the colt, but want to buy a walther, I have been told they are smaller. cant decide between them both, im left handed and are keen on the moveable mag release. which one do you think is better overall, thanks
@ozziereviews9 жыл бұрын
+sam doughty They are both made by Walther so you have the same pistol to a degree... They are roughly the same size, just a different body that's all...

Hi John, yes this pistol is amazing to shoot it seems fairly accurate (i am still a beginner so i cant say that its me or the pistol that didn't shoot well ahahah) the last time i went to the range i put 150 cci standard rounds through it and it shot great. Its a great gun if its your first or 50th :D i highly recommend it
