Amazing! We all suffer and we all want peace and joy, but we can't get that until we recognize the tension, pain and resentment lying deep within us. We have to let it go.

Thank you for posting these videos; I’m watching every one one as they appear on my YT and learning so much 🙏. Listening to Thay speak about war I think of him in Vietnam, working as a peace activist, and the unimaginable horrors of that time. The world needs more people like him.

I confirm, Thay, by my own experience and we are not quite surrounded by many wise, carressing, present people, but by a great amount of unskillfullness. Embodying the teaching, change comes from within and people we come across might get "contaminated" with presence, loving kindness😊

I don't agree with the part about smoking and the part about maybe drinking, there's a big tea ceremony that takes so long just cuz they want some caffeine. It's hard because you only have one point of view, unless you've notice, a teacher as I am. and you've seen other people's point of view. A beautiful speech. ❤❤❤❤

Dear friend, thank you for reaching out and for your question. Thich Nhat Hanh often refers to ourselves (our body, each breath and step in the present moment) as our true home. He describes it more in this talk (the talk starts at 33mins in: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4LTq2irobKafdk. And also in this short teaching video he describes arriving into the present moment and our appointment with life: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYCapYaQmN6Xd6c I hope this helps :) With care
