Same thing with Paragon Warsuits with hammers. They can fall back, grenade, shoot, charge and tank shock with 12 dice, which is insane if it works. (Rerolling everything with Vahl)

Good points as always! Sometimes is also just worth to tank shock with bad vehicles if you are hitting small enough target. Even a Pirahna gets like 7 or 8 dices to roll so 2-3 wounds. Caught be off guard from time to time.

Guys, you can’t throw grenades when you fall back. Or when you advance, as these occur in the Movement phase. It specifically says on the strategem “in the shooting phase”.

your 100% right, you cant in the movement phase when you can fall back or advance, but as soon as the movement phase is over its the shooting phase * hears pin being pulled*

Yes, just wanted to mention it so nobody accidentally tries to use it out of sync, accidentally doing it before moving other units after advancing or falling back, and their opponent just stays silent and gotchas them saying it’s now your shooting phase as you’ve done the grenades strat out of sync. . Apologies I should’ve elaborated. Great video 👍 much love from the UK. Really happy to see the channel progressing.

Great video. I find myself watching your content like a quarterback watching film trying to figure out how to get the edge. As more and more newer players continue to join this edition (myself included) I feel like your channel will be the one we all turn to for information. Your format is relaxed and casual yet has the passion and knowledge base of a more competitive scene. This channel has hit the sweet spot more than any other 40K table top channel that I have seen. With Heroic Intervention, it says you don't get any charge bonus, it doesn't say you don't get to trigger effects that happen on a charge, like say, Tank Shock, Mortal Wound charges or even one of those "charged targets must make battleshock" abilities, which could really bring down some pain. A brutalis swining into the fight for up to 12 mortal wounds on a highest roll, or an average of probably 7-8 for 3cp on your opponents turn.

It says "effect your unit now declares a charge..." So I think you would get any benefits and abilities that are triggered by a charge move. As it specifically says you just declared a charge.

Heroic Intervention with units that have [fights first] is great. I have both done it and had it done to me. Heroic intervention with a Master of Execution unit is great, and simply positioning his unit close enough to threaten the heroic intervention makes opponents think twice about charging. Then, just this last weekend, I had lost track of a callidus assassin while just grinding through my game plan, charged a 20 man necron warrior blob in on lone, wounded blade champion to take an objective away, and then zips in this callidus who immediately scooped out my cryptek and lord out of the group with precision flamer overwatch on the charge, and then heroic intervention/fights first. I felt so stupid. I won't do that again!

Steve wins games all the time, but for some reason the Chaos Gods cursed him as soon as a camera gets turned on him. To Steve, a camera is the 5th Chaos God.

OMG i cant believe they didn't just rebrand it instead of calling it "tank shock", could have worked for monsters as well as vehicles, I know my Daemons could use some "tank shock" style ability.

The invictor warsuit has the most melee strength than any other vehical. You took 16 dice for tank shock. I have never done less than 6 mortal wounds with that unit

@@spacemarinesteve6057 yeah. My strat is to run an warsuit up the field next to my incursors+phobos lieutenant. If I have turn 1 I can scout, move, shoot, throw grenade, D6 move (lieutenant ability), charge, and haywire mine with the incursors. They will get thinned down in the combat phase but the warsuit is shortly behind them with the 8" scout 8" move, charge, tank shock

The real question is, does something have to be eligible to shoot in order to be selected to shoot?

The Tournament organizers in our area and the players around us have excepted it. It just says "has not been selected to shoot". if you don't have guns, you can still technically "not have been selected to shoot". its just the weirdest wording and took me a while to be on board with it.
