Lord Commissar Joe is a tactical genius, with just a SINGLE guardsman he distracted the entirety of the enemy line, allowing other forces to redeploy and flank the vile xenos threat. Legend has it even after the guardsman's demise, his body did not give up and continued to stand in defiance of the enemy, provoking their ire even further and making them oblivious to the threats on the flanks. Ecclesiarchy is currently debating whether to canonize this man as a saint. Life is the Emperor's currency, spend it well.

I actually voiced the Ork intro in the game and cannot tell you how excited I was to see you put it in your video, Joe! I agree that it would've been great to have voiced units in the game. I would have voiced every Ork ingame had I the chance! XD

Yeah that's reality of a small budget and most voice actors are really expensive... not just pay but logistically speaking as well. But hopefully if the game does well, they might be able to go back and add voices in. I know I've not killed my vocal cords yet so I've got a few more WAAAGH!s in me if they decide to revisit it :) Fun fact: I totally did that whole bit covering myself with a blanket to muffle any noise!

Reminds me of their quote from the original Dawn of War games. "If you will not serve in combat, you will serve on the firing line", indicating what happens to any guardsman who tries to not die to the enemy. They'll be shot by their commisar as an example to bolster the courage of the rest of the squad.

All Vanilla game Factions: -Necrons -Orks -Astra Militarum -Adeptus Astartes All current Faction DLC for Gladius: -Chaos -Tyranids -Tau Extra gameplay DLC: -Reinforcments DLC -Fortifications DLC Yes. The game has many DLC already. BUT, to my knowledge the DLC Factions will be a NPC Faction for the Vanilla game. If you want to play them you have to buy them, so if you want to play with a specific Faction than you can choose just one DLC, as the others are all part of the game as NPC Factions.

Well this is what early access games are all about on Steam. Most of the time it's passionate little studios instead of corporate ass hats altering a game for greed. They tried to jump on the MOBA gravy train with DOW3, when all they needed was to go back to the formula of DOW1. When they tried to attempt that after release, it was already too late.

MrConredsX Did you not watch the video? The AI gets hampered by the wildlife and wireweed . Turn those settings down (which I do anyway) and the AI performs much better.

Well, no, you cant just spam endless numbers of cities. Each city after the first one had a gradually increasing price each time (original price + number of cities (- 2 to 4 cities) x 50 influence and another resource). You also start getting larger penalties, after the 3rd city, to your loyalty which greatly affects your output.

Pakorn Wattanavrangkul I think what he's saying (correct me if I'm wrong) but there is an overall net gain to your economy immediately when putting up a new settlement even if each new settlement is less beneficial than the last. Contrast this with something like total war where you face big economic and public order penalties which usually have a net negative effect on your overall economy initially until you build them up and restore order.

The loyalty penalty is kinda like public order but it also affects resource output of each city, the lower it is, the less you get to the point where you can even lose resources if your loyalty gets too low. From the 4th city onwards you get a massive permanent loyalty decrease for each new city which will affect the output of the new city as well as every other city you have. Add that with the fact that when a city is under siege, that city gets massive loyalty penalties, to the point where i went from +30 energy a turn to -10 due to the negative loyalty when under siege. It will stay there until you lift the siege and repair the city.

@@pakornwattanavrangkul2550 also balance wise the space marine are busted af if they manage to field out a 2:3 ratio of devastator marines(2 for the marines) its near damn impossible to out gun them if your attacking the marines, and by the time you would get a force that isnt going to be one shotted by these marines on defense, apothecaries would be out and will start to out sustain any army and once the terminators start coming to the front line with apothecary back up and high level devastators start pumping out shots... it'd be donein a heartbeat also dreadnought spam ofc having 1 turn training time on army production will chew through requesitions like butter but having atleast 4 devastators and redemption fortresses to cover for the marines camping your area will buy you enough time to start making those production buildings

This is one of the best Angry Reviews I've ever seen. The prologue nicely sums up the experience of Imperial Guard players who play this game first time. Pros and cons of the game are really on point. Too bad it couldn't get more rate, but mostly understandable. Critics is not about making allowances for creators' situations but is about telling an honest impression.
