When they announced that NQ was going to be coming back in a way, I was super excited. NQ was always one of my favorite magazine and remember spending many a day hunting down issues that I had missed. I’m looking forward to it returning for sure!

Likewise, after NQ54 was my first, I had to go hunting down every one of them. Took four years, but totally worth it.

What would be really cool, I think at least, would be a section like a virtual library with full novels or novellas available for purchase or just rolled in with the subscription. I'd gladly pay for that.

Starting with all SIX entries would be great. New short story compilations would be relatively straightforward enough to set up, roll them out with the subscription, then compile them for purchase a la carte.

With the death of of books and expansion books, I would love story when they release new models.

Even if it's a short story a couple thousand words long, something more than the solicitation notes for sales purposes (they invariably disappoint me(!)).

I picked up about 80 issues of no quarter all in order #3 - #84ish a few years back for the painting sections. I don’t think this game will make it if they don’t bring back pressgangers

On the one hand, having a public face and funky label for community leaders does a lot, but on the other hand, these individuals, by their motivation of fulfilling that role, would do so anyway. While the MtG judge legal issues is often touted as the reason for closing down the PG program, I'm led to believe it was actually ended because of how unwieldy the whole system was to manage for a company of PP's size between keeping track of events & issuing event packs, individual PGs' accounts, and dispatching PG's rewards (some of which were claimed fraudulently). Whether one puts any weight to this or not is down to the individual, but I think a PG-esque system would help a great deal if PP could invest the resources to do so (what's the total short term risk/cost of doing so/long term financial benefit to PP?), though I will say it can't be done in the same manner as the PG program as we remember it.

@@ServantofNyrro I think their position is untenable without pressgangers you draw a line from when they discontinued PGs to when the game started dying. I started playing 4 month before the release of legends and played a year worth of mk3. Was rather heartbreaking to watch the game fall from such great heights man.

@@raymondharnack4160 I'm not sure about 'untenable', but it's definitely not as big in the minis gaming world as it could be or as it once was (I doubt anyone in their right mind could say otherwise). With their downsizing during the MkIII years, I think they've settled in a place which is (financially) comfortable for them, but comparisons will always abound with their peak during the later years of MkII, when the company itself was also much larger. And while ending the PG program was certainly one of the many major factors which contributed to the reduction in WMH's popularity, I don't think its return is necessarily key to the game's revival, but I agree it would help.

@@ServantofNyrro I think you need to look at this objectively and take your emotions out of it. The game was only ever successful due to people giving up their free time to promote it and being compensated for it (ie PGs). Their excuse of “legal issues” from another game that has nothing to do with table top miniatures was pathetic and it was just greed that made that choice for them.

One of many stories which deserve a continuation or conclusion. The Privateers... the irony, considering the name of the company, are one of the most neglected factions in the fluff, given how little they're involved. None of them are particularly overarching plot relevant, which is a pity. Their absence from HHS is but one example. I think it would've been fun to have Skarre/Shae/Bart ribbing each other while offering fire support off the coast at least.
