Same here) It was beautifully shot, ironic in the first half, more intense in the second half. With psychological aspects and meaning, conveyed as much as possible using the “show don’t tell” technique. With a multi-layered, interesting main character. Brilliantly played. Definitely Josh Hartnett's best role. I'll watch it again in the cinema while it's still in theaters. By the way, the soundtrack and songs were beautiful and suited the situations and actions of the characters perfectly.

@@Str52849 Agree! We waited up till midnite to stream it first! Today we found it on VOD. We pre-ordered the DVD. Bonkers film! So much fun! Has the same split personality as Cooper 😊 I don’t get the negatives. Were they expecting the same twisty Night? Didn’t they get the comedic tone? Complaints about plot holes cuz they can’t see the “plot holes” are intentional. SMH

@@Str52849 Not Hartnett’s Best Role but one of the top ones for sure. He killed it. 😂

There are some fantastic ones in his indies (aside from the terrific Ethan Chandler). My #1 is the performance in August (which he also produced.) A lot of techspeak but he is brilliant in yhe role. others are O, Bunraku, Lucky Number Slevin, Inherit the Vjper and Ida Red in no particular order. the UK series The Fear Index is only 4 episodes but fantastic. imo Penny Dreadful is his iconic role. He and Eva Green give incomparable performances. i am SUCH a Hartnett fan it's a bjt embarrassing 😆

@@Str52849 There WILL be a sequel, and he's going to be fighting against Joseph Dunn (David Dunn's son in unbreakable and glass), i'd bet the house i don't have on that. Joseph Dunn has shown amazing abilities as an investigator and his story is FAR from over, and Cooper shows amazing abilities as a criminal (i'm guessing superpowers in both cases) The shards of glass are all coming together... 😁

Yes, they had a funny scene with a run to the observation point for Lady Raven (see reference to the child’s run from the finale of “The Silence of the Lambs”), scene with fans waiting for Lady Raven to get off the bus and a conversation in the line to enter. Hartnett plays the loving father beautifully. Actually, like all aspects of his character ;)

It's actually deeper than meets the eye, given Cooper vs Lady Rave confronation about the "pieces" and "wholeness", starting with Lady Raven intro before the song Release, about forgiving those who have hurt you when she mentioned imagining her father in front of her. This scene was right after Cooper's vision of his mother.

@@Str52849 on a related note, since you seem to know the songs pretty well, ever noticed the hook of the last song in the movie, "pieces" ? "No one can break me... If i'm in pieces..." If that's not a reference to the unbreakable universe, i don't know what is ! 😉 I'm sure Cooper has superpowers.
