@@taykimb9270 sapp was dominant as well as Donald. It was different a game back then I dont count sacks dudes barely even passed back then the new stats are deflated. Warren sapp also spent many years as being the best defensive tackle in the game. If you’re not old enough to actually remember Sapp playing like I am, you’re wasting your time just putting up stats. Sapp was AD before AD so it’s always an argument. If dudes in his era threw 40 and 50 times like today his stats would be even more bloated.

Warren Sapp was never known to throw compliments around unless very well deserved. Therefore, it was impressive to hear him mention Bob Lilly as one of the handful of truly great NFL defensive tackles. Lilly entered the league in 1961, and played about seven superlative years before Mean Joe Greene was drafted and became a household name with the Steelers. They were both great, but many of today’s football fans never had a chance to witness and appreciate Lily’s utter dominance at defensive tackle. Another great one was “Big Daddy” Lipscomb, who could singlehandedly tackle an entire NFL backfield. However, for range, quickness, explosiveness and longevity, you couldn’t beat the great Bob Lilly. By the way, I’m not even a Cowboys fan; I just recognize greatness when I see it, and so does Warren Sapp.

As a lowly lions fan he's the 1 that hurts the most. How Marty mayhew thought taking a TE in the top 10 while losing both of your DT's over AD was a good plan will always be beyond me. Dude is insane, a man that big shouldn't move as quickly as he does
@SecretAgentNigward
@SecretAgentNigward 2 жыл бұрын
@@anthonykyles4310 I don’t think the MVP is as big of an argument for LT anymore since absolutely no player besides QB will win the award. Donald recorded 20.5 sacks at the INTERIOR lineman position, was voted best player amongst his peers and didn’t win mvp. It’s one of the (if not the most) remarkable defensive seasons ever for a player.

Facts. My partner isn’t a football fan. She watches one game a year. The first defensive snap after the chippy crap she says of Donald, “he’s mad now. They made him mad. “ She’s an elementary school teacher. Nailed it.

@@ShadomanGThe Rams move Donald around as well. Against the Buccs he lined up a few times over the right tackle. Offensive line play was way better in the 90's than it is right now. That's why I have John Randle rated higher than Aaron Donald.

@@Hopper830 He moves around yes, but seldom & the same could said about sacking the QB in today’s game-You can barely touch e’m. Randle’s era you could essentially rip the quarterbacks ahead off hit him anywhere w/o a flag.
