As someone that played this when it came out, I was 13 at the time, I have so many memories and it holds so many core memories with my parents being around. you know I was watching a video from a guy who's a great youtuber and a Game Designer himself, understands game design and the industry in and out and what he said was so true, he said back then making a game was a passion project for game developers, they loved doing it, nowadays for most developers it's a business to make money, it really explains well why most games today are garbage, I'm just glad there are some studios that still try.

Limitation breeds creativity. It's amazing how this game feels like a huge road trip as you move from one city to the next, especially considering the small map size. After 4 games using that template it made sense for them to deviate away from that for innovation and to freshen things up. Even with next gen graphics Rockstar haven't been able to replicate anything close to this masterpiece. The whole production team that worked on this game deserve massive credit for hitting the nail on the head with every minor detail. I liked GTA IV cos of how it looked and felt, I get why people don’t like it but to me it’s my favourite one which I had the most fun in, i played gta sa on ps2 but I shared that with my brother and was never massive into gaming, still an amazing game tho but I got my own Xbox 360 when I was like 11 and got gta iv, I absolutely bashed that game, used to play the online with mates all the time too even tho there was nout to do like in gta V for example 😂 But the way it seemed gloomy, looked like the real world, the psychics, the attention to detail, the characters and NPCs, the driving, it felt like a real criminal simulator I did also enjoy gta V on release, unreal game imo, but it died in like 2015/16 for me, and each update to it increasingly annoyed me, cos the game feels like a shell of what it was, it’s just a cash grab now, the story was good but I only like playing games once for the story 😂

Personally, I think the maps in San Andreas and V can’t really be compared because they have different design priorities. San Andreas focuses on quantity while V focuses on quality. That’s not to say San Andreas’ map isn’t good,in fact I think it’s the best map in the series, but it isn’t as detailed/realistic as V’s is. V is all about showing Los Santos and the surrounding countryside in far more detail in comparison, and California has a lot of empty space irl, so it’s to be expected that the in-game version would also have a lot of nothing outside of the cities. I think it just comes down to what you’re looking for in an open-world game.

@@simtelefon What I personally like about GTA V map, is that when you travel through the map, you can meet with many strangers, which they ask for some favor or need your help. Those small missions got their own story, good dialogs and are unique when compered to others like that. Even thou GTA SA got more small towns and different types of environments, they feel kinda empty. When getting there, I felt like there isn't much to do, except enjoying the scenery a the way there. Little bit sad for small towns that were nice-looking and had good location, but missed safehouse.

@@simtelefon GTA V could have been so much better even, if they had made it for the (then) next generation of consoles. The jump in detail from GTA 4 to 5 isn't actually all that big. Especially considering the cars. They feel like they're on rails compared to 4 (though I know many people are happy about that downgrade), half the cars from 4 have straight up just been copied into 5 without any adjustments and the damage is much less detailed. Even the NPCs behave worse. They all react the same way to guns and to being shot. In 4 some would raise their hands, some would run away, some would try to shoot you back but would give up once their health has dropped low enough and beg you to leave them alive, the cops would aim their guns at you and try to talk you out of doing something stupid. In 5 the regular NPCs just run away and the cops always consider you as kos. Explosions didn't necessarily kill you, the NPCs cause lots of accidents (maybe a bit too many) and so on... Will be interesting to see how GTA 6 turns out, if it hasnt completely been destroyed by greed yet.

What kind of question is that? San Andreas is more than a good game. However, the only thing I can say I dislike, HATE even, is how they did my boy Ryder. They killed him off because the voice actor left during production (Wasn't payed enough). That's why his death was very anti-climatic and he didn't even say much. I wish they would have killed him off in a different way like at the ambush with Sweet. Ryder was a loyal friend and it was rushed making him a traitor just to fire shots at MC Eiht for leaving.

What a beautiful love letter to my favourite game of all time! So many things I want to say about it and your video! I can't believe it was released 17 years ago, damn I've gotten old. I played it for so many hours and bonded with CJ and the 'hood so much, it made me, a 10-11 years old girl from Anatolia thought that she was a gang member in the 90s America. I think my love for hip hop comes from this game, I was just so into that era and culture back then. All my notebooks from back then are covered with graphic writings of "Grove Street". xD I would get way too excited when I was doing missions, fear of failure, my hands would start to shake so I would ask help from my cousin to advance the story whenever he was over at our house. I would type in the cheats and he would do the missions. We would pass the story in a combined effort. A lot of the time the other cities weren't unlocked so I spent my days trying to pass by the barriers on the bridges. At the end I figured out to pass it with the rocket. I just remember spending so much time going from one city to the other listening to the in game radio and falling in love with all those 80s and 90s songs. My favourite drive was to go from San Fierro to Las Venturas. The desert, that dam and the sunset from that highway was one of the best things my 10 year old brain ever saw in a video game. Sorry for the essay but this video brought back a lot of memories and love for the game. I love that you voiced your thoughts standing up and moving around. I think it added a great dynamism and energy to the video. I love the video and thank you for the trip down memory lane!

In my opinion, GTA SA was an outstanding game. One of the most likable characters from the series. Amazing soundtrack. Graphics that worked well (good use of color, a nice map, models that were very good at the time). Amazingly fun gameplay. Excellent storyline. The game had it all. If only they managed to implement everything they wanted at the time, and had a better storyline for Rider... still, the game is one of my favorites and was revolutionary.

I was discussing this game with a coworker, and he was like he discovered everything in GTA SA, trying to gloat. I asked how many girlfriends do you have in the game, he said 2. I said there’s a total of 6 in the game, two part of the storyline and the other 4, you have to stumble across. He looked at me like I just discovered water.
@TEFFTPATTERN
@TEFFTPATTERN 10 ай бұрын

@BlasianBobbi215
@BlasianBobbi215 9 ай бұрын
@@TEFFTPATTERN yes, there’s 6. The two that’s part of the storyline, and there’s four more, pay attention: You encounter the first one at a gun shop somewhere in the Whetstone area after you leave Los santos. She’s on the roof, on the gun range. Once she likes you enough, she can prove discounts on weapons at Ammu-Nation. The other two are found in San Fierro. One near the shop you acquire from Claude and Catalina, and the other is north, near the docks. The one near the shop is found doing yoga on some grass, the one near the docks is found outside of an auto body shop. The one doing Yoga is a nurse, if you increase your likability with her, she waives the money you lose from being killed/arrested. The one standing outside the auto shop, reduces the costs of vehicle modifications. The last one you encounter is in a small town going into Las Venturas, from San Fierro. If you’re leaving San Fierro going north, you’re gonna hit this small town, she standing outside, as well. She’s a cop. If you have a couple stars on you, you can drive by her house and the stars go away. NOW BEFORE YOU JUMP BACK INTO SAN ANDREAS TO FIND THESE GIRLS, there’s something you must know. Each one of the four have VERY SPECIFIC preferences of how you should look, and the desires are wide ranging, one likes you thin, two of them likes you very muscular, I believe the auto shop GF likes you on the chubby side. Now, don’t think I’m gonna leave you hanging, and not tell you the work around for this issue. The way to date all four without changing your appearance is to max out your sex appeal. You can achieve this by wearing a black suit you can buy from the store that’s supposed to be the GAP, have a nice haircut AND have a super nice car. The car I found works is the car that’s parked outside of the driving school, it unlocks when you complete the driving school. DO NOT DAMAGE the car when they are in the car with you. If you crash, your sex appeal drops significantly, and they’ll literally will get out of the car and the date ends. This is exceptionally tricky, especially with the auto shop GF. When you take her on a date, she likes you to drive very fast. Have fun 😊😊

San Andreas was Rockstar's Magnum Opus. They rewarded the player with almost everything in this game. The leap from Vice City to San Andreas was enormous and probably has never been duplicated in another game series. They gave us 3 cities, recruiting gang members, a fighter jet, cop motorcycles, different fighting styles, hundreds of clothing options, night vision goggles, a freeway, a mountain, a forest, a desert, a monster truck, dual weapons, basketball, billiards, and a damn jetpack. The jetpack alone is better than almost anything Rockstar has given us in the past 17 years. The only thing I prefer in GTA V as opposed to San Andreas was the shoot outs and the wildlife. The characters are garbage compared to San Andreas and the map feels dead, compare Tenpenny to Devlin it's a joke. Grove 4 Life.

Speaking of soundtrack, I think it would add something to your videos if you can find an equivalent of the track you use for bad games where the music breaks down for the guy to say 'um' I really like the way that track adds to the commentary feel, and sometimes the 'um' is timed perfectly to accentuate a point, kudos if you are doing that intentionally. I don't have anything to suggest, but some track with a positive sounding breakdown like an 'oh!' or 'okay!' might work.
