Fun fact: Circe's charms that alter your size will make the little Melinoe token on the map accordingly bigger or smaller

I do kinda like that Hera and Aphrodite are friends here. Guess the golden apple business was just water under the bridge. As Hera says, their portfolios go hand in hand. I suppose it helps that in this continuity, Aphro's marriage is a genuinely happy one.

Right? It seems so on both your points ^ Perhaps gods do be fickle and move on.

It's funny watching the Satyr minion awkwardly pacing back and forth while Mel and Athena have their polite conversation. "Dat's great, ladies, I'm sure the drink will taste great later, now can we get goin'? I got some former allies ta blow up." I expect Ares will show up once we get closer to the peak of Olympus, since they'd need their most brutal warrior to fend off whatever gets past Athena.
@Hamstir426 күн бұрын
I’ve never seen a minion itching to kill his own as this one. What on the moon has Selene done? Y’know? I was confused at first while it was tiered in such as way, Athena -> Ares. But makes total sense now with their boons. Athena should be frontline defense, and anyone who manages to get passed should just straight up die by Ares in the backline lmao. Also, Athena’s boons replenishing Defiances is exactly in Region 3 as Patroclus ^ so they likely mirrored that as well, brilliant.

Thanks for these videos. You're the first one I found who doesn't talk over the dialogues and actually reflects on the story. Most others focus on the gameplay and builds, sometimes even skipping conversations.

Happy day of the moon to you too o7 let’s hope for a good week! 4:16 …I mean, marriages of conveniences or otherwise not just for love seem to be quite in fashion all over history, and lovers tend to either be extramarital or eloping, so I don’t think there would be a loss big enough to put her out of business? But I guess the extra devotional acts are always good 21:10 I mean it sure would be surprising if it was otherwise and Eris of all people had access to the Garden of the hesperides, especially in a version when she’s a chthonic goddess and not Ares’ twin sister 21:33 pulling out the big backup guns I see. I guess defeat really left a burn on the ego 25:56 Huh huh. See that is also what I say to myself when I end up procrastinating my projects to the last day and then having to pull an all nighter while on 3 espressos, so as far as personal experience goes I can tell you, they’re surviving it though it somehow but it’s not healthy nor fun. And not something you want to repeat. 34:24 Well then, I hope Prometheus is happy with the monotheistic religions and everything they brought with them? The mortals stopped worshiping the Gods, yes? Sadly turns out its the mortals themselves that turn to religion and use it as a way to make sense of life, so they just found a replacement o7 36:38 Well See I did forget! Also always take my knowledge with a grain of salt. Dispute it when you can! Look up things for yourself! It’s good practice! Never just believe people! Ok so anyway, Aetos has 3 main origin stories: Number 1! Aetos was a mortal king named Periphas. He was also, a priest of Apollo. He was SUCH a good king tho, people thought he should be a God. Zeus didn’t quite like that, because see HE is the God of being a King, so he decided to thunderbolt Periphas, and either Apollo was like “That wasn’t very nice of him to do that” and turned the possibly dead or actively dying Periphas into the Golden Eagle Aetos, or he was straight up like “Can you stop actively thunderbolting people who are associated with me you’re making me look BAD” and Zeus (possibly) rolled his eyes and instead of thunderbolting Periphas he turned him into an eagle Number 2! Aetos was the first ever friend of Zeus, a boy who grew up with him as Zeus hid from Chronos on the island of Crete, becoming the first human to side and worship gods, and not titans. After the titans were beaten and Zeus became king, Hera turned Aetos into an eagle out of fear that Zeus was in love with him, so Zeus, who could not break the curse, took in Aetos and made the eagles his sacred bird (Random note: Sacred birds are fun! Hera’s is the peacock which has on its tail the eyes of Argus Panoptes, Apollo’s is the crow on account of in some versions turning his (almost-)wife into one after her death, Aphrodite’ is the dove, Athena obviously has the owl, there’s a species of owl named after that specifically but I’M gonna always case and point to a barn owl because they look like haunted ivory statuettes, Ares’ sacred bird is the volture, and if you ask me specifically I’m gonna tell you a red bearded volture because have you seen it? No? You should see a Red Bearded Volture) (Also please look up the greek word for owl you WON’T regret it) Anyway Number 3! Aetos is a mystical bird created by Gaia, who appeared to Zeus before the Titanomachy, and Zeus adopted it seeing how he was a good omen 42:20 waaait why are they for me? Did I miss something? My Birthday was way back :Vc They're really cute tho, I don't mind, I like how they circle back to semi-egyptian looking when reprising the House of Hades

Happy Tuesday from here!! lol It’s true regarding marriage ^ arranged marriages, means to advance social status, etc. It’s just a little funny what Hera said about Aphrodite doesn’t necessarily reflect all marriages. But then again, she didn’t say all of her blessings were out for their devotion, hmm! Ppl thought the Garden would be Region 3 ^ Seeing how Eris had the apple the first time, she probably learned a trick how to snatch one since the banquet lmao. The Mati keepsake is just perfect for tasty revenge! LOL the 3 espressos was personal. “Been there, done that, never again!” If I remember, the mortals still worshiped the gods, especially in Ephyra. Because the city worshiped Hades, Chronos attacked Ephrya to punish the mortals. (this guy never cared to begin with, loserdz he is) If you meant irl, I agree! Religion is a means to make sense of the mess and wonders that is life ^ Nah Disastrous, your stories are 100% accurate and I believe you with no research needed! (Kidding!) Let’s see, I like all three versions, but for the most story telling, I would narrow it down to either 1) or 2). 2) would be most symbolic to his resistance against the titans, and ends up eating the liver of a titan, Prometheus. But I also really like 1) for the Apollo and Zeus dynamic lol. And the idea of a good king Periphas getting punished for upsetting the status quo makes loads of sense irl too. If there’s a good example of a king, you’d best believe other political bodies would try to eliminate that as only a fantasy. Bloody, it’s a coin toss. I actually like 1) the most, but 2) is really close. Thanks for your objective theories!!! As for birds, I got Athene noctua owl or Little Owl for Athena if you wanted. But barn owls are cooler ^ koukouvágia!! koo-koo-vai-ya~ Alright, red bearded vulture is class. And that actually made me more hype for Ares’ design, not that I expect Supergiant to take inspiration to this vulture, BUT cmon!! LOL I just thought you’d like it!

considering dora only remember the latter half of her name (pandora) she might mistaken prometheus as her spouse instead of epimetheus. either way, i think epimetheus is still dora's spouse on hades ii :) 5:00 im curious about what parts of zeus involvement from the prometheus myth is included. specfically, if supergiant is going to include when epimetheus and prometheus create the creatures, zeus handed the brothers enough talents for the world-- but just one short so humans don't have any talents (sOOO wrong, look at arachne my spidey girl mwah) or when zeus decided how mortals would sacrifice their offerings, he choose the absolute best parts and leave the scraps for mortals. like zeus, you deliberately been giving promy's creations (the ONE THING promy created so i imagine mortals are very precious to promy) the short end of the stick. but jokes on him, when zeus left hope in that jar, mortals didn't need to pick it up, because only someone like zeus needs to open up a jar to have hope >vo 25:33 olympus on copium, why am i not even surprised. let go of that pride and metal, will you? except heph, you doin good (i love hephaestus in hades ii he's so CHILL ironically aha) 39:42 hehe ones C:

It would be both cute and sad if Dora mistakes both of them as her husband, and only they know the truth and remind her, but she’ll just forget the next hour. I do think it’s Epimetheus too! If we keep diving deeper, there’s just no way to defend the gods LOL. and I’m down for it. However, safe writers tend to bridge a middle ground or gray area so that there’s room to blame in both parties, thus not really saying anything by the end, alas. But I wouldn’t say Supergiant is necessarily safe, although they sometimes leave some details unanswered. That’s all to say, idk if they’ll address this specific point, or if we’ll even get an Epimentheus mention!! Aww, reminding me why I adore Promy, we’re his babies to him c: And I do wonder if Hope will show up? Storywise, whatever is happening on Olympus is very bleak. I’ve only come across the dialogue during Testing, but Hestia sounds sure the time of Olympians may burn out. Coming from her, it does seem appropriate for Hope to emerge from the jar ^ The copium!!! Apparently Dioynsus had some to share before he left lol. Hephaestus has been great!! (always pick him in god trials, and Hestia then Demeter) Nyah! The ones~

33:59. 1) Clymene: The wife of Iapetus and the mother of Atlas, Menoetius, Buphagus, Anchiale, Prometheus, and Epimetheus. 2) Hesione: The wife of Prometheus and the mother of Deucalion (A young man who later became the constellation Aquarius) and Aidos (Goddess of Humility). 3) I hope Aidos can turn me into a humble boy/guy and Nemesis into a humble goddess because Aidos is Nemesis's best friend. 4) 40:29. Dora has work to do.

Oh! so you agree that Prometheus would be the brother in law of Dora ^ we weren’t sure if Supergiant was doing the version of him being the brother in law, or the spouse of Pandora.
@TuanTranMelinoeZagreus488025 күн бұрын
@@Hamstir4. What are you talking about? After Prometheus was punished by Zeus, Zeus gave Pandora to Epimetheus, as a bride and by him became the mother of Pyrrha.
@Hamstir424 күн бұрын
@@TuanTranMelinoeZagreus4880 It’s true most versions would agree it’s Epimetheus as Pandora’s husband. But we don’t know if Epimetheus would appear in this game, so it’s possible that Supergiant might rely on the version where it’s Prometheus that is the spouse, but I don’t think this is the case ^

@@Hamstir4 could be a fun concept theory to begin with lol. hecate also confirms the conversation that the coat looks like a trinket [hades1 reference lol] but its also interesting that the weapon was designed with the baby princess in mind. i wonder if atropos spoke in secrecy with nyx about what might transpire? otherwise, it makes sense that the infernal arms would have a sister to keep the hunger sated. im curious if the nocturnal arms also would have another weapon set if they plan to create another sequel 👀?
@Hamstir424 күн бұрын
@@daeity1 Replies can get lost so forgive if I’m late. Oh did I miss it, or there’d be another dialogue after? That’s interesting regardless! I enjoy any points for Nyx, because I’m still upset she just straight up lost against Chronos, boo! LOL, well there was a joke about that last bit. Moros thought Mel was joking when she thought there was a set of weapons to keep the Nocturnal Arms in check, then so on. It is said Charon wielded the Nocturnal Axe back then, and Moros will one day wield the Torches, so I wouldn’t know exactly how far the Fates planned for Melinoe, but here we are now! I can't handle another sequel, but the amount of experience Supergiant is handling their current game, a trilogy would be another learning experience from them ^
