this is a great review! I think that the guilds' story and quests are actually really fun (not as good as oblivions though) but as you said the logic, especially the college of winterhold, is pretty dumb. I'm the archmage without being a mage lol

Yes the storylines can be fun in a very baseline kind of way but the issue I had is that there just seems to be little to no actual substance and you end up just doing whatever the fuck and leading them. Also, thanks very much!

I feel the same way. The college is my favourite storyline and by the end I felt deeply connected to the other characters and the college itself, but I was still casting adept spells when they made me archmage. The thief's guild is even worse with its gaping plot holes, but hey, it's a lot of fun and has some of the best dungeons in the game.

The trick to roleplaying in Skyrim is not to do the main quest. I have 2000h in the game, only did the main quest once. The side quests/factions are kind of better anyway

Very true, the main quest (although I like it) is incredibly restricting in role play, that is to say that role play is basically fucking impossible. Thanks for the comment mate
