I agree with you to some extent. The Doors were still a pretty big concert draw into 1970 probably because of both 'Light my Fire' and later, 'Touch Me', huge hits. My good friend was a studio musician at Decca in Paris when Morrison died. He’s a pretty sober, no bs Chicago guy, he swears the death was fake and he saw him after the death, I know he believes it and I don’t think it’s outside the realm of possibility. Tangentially, I read an interview with an F.B.I. Profiler in The New Yorker when Silence of The Lambs came out he said “We know exactly how to create a serial killer” and went on to explain that it was b movies and the time between sexual arousal and bloodletting on screen . I take that guy literally, they create serial killers, he meant what he said.

If they were "behind" the music of the 60's, well, they certainly helped produce some of the greatest music ever.

@IlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlI basically wanted people to not "think" but to "feel" when making choices. The 60s was actually the beginning of the whole "woke" problem we have now. There's a bit of literature on this, and I'm sure you could find more Info here on KZbin that goes I to greater detail.

I've heard this before, apparently the Beatles and rolling stones were promoted by the cia because of their teenage culture sorta influence. Teenager was a word created by the cia to help this movement take off.

OR- they WERE experimenting with psychedelics for mind control truth serum etc, and it was part of using the population as lab rats to test their work on a large scale. Almost feel like that happened not too long ago as well🤔
