Wetline is also protein free - unlike the Ecostyler. Your hair looks great!

I've been using this gel now for about a year and a half and I love it. Honestly, I think you could've been a little more heavy handed. The gel isn't prone to flaking so no worries there. I love that it's protein and alcohol free.

Wetline gel has been the best for my hair. I have tried so many other gels but I do not get positive results like when I use Wetline. My next favorite is the Eco -green/olive oil. Love your hair! I have been considering trying this low porosity line...maybe black friday sale. Thanks for posting!

I get the fuzzy areas all the time because I am multitexture, but my cottony areas are huge right over my areas and coily, so I can clearly see the difference, the top of my head is wavy and wiry. I apply way more product to the cottony areas to get definition.

Oh my goodness, I love that gel. I use to use eco styler but one day I decided to use that extreme and never turned back ^_^. I go back and forth between Paul Mitchel the conditioner or Aussie moist as a leave in. I think that gel seems like it more gentle on my hair than eco styler. Love your videos!!!

My favorite gel is working beautifully for you! I tip my head back under the water to help the gel spread. Then, I apply some more over the canopy to catch the top parts. I feel it is better than Eco but folks want to argue you down. lol.

Wow! I knew you would have Beautiful results. Wetline really adds that dark shiny effect. I've been using it for the past two years. I love that it's protein free.... or it's one of the last ingredients. Again I have to stay away from it during colder months because of the glycerin and me taking public transportation. My curls get very very dry if its cold outside. So I will use super wet. I would love to see you do a review on the super wet gel next! Oh also when applying the wetline extreme gel I will often add a pump of aloe Vera gel along with a scoop of gel and it makes the spreading down my hair shaft process much much easier. If I don't have aloe Vera then water will do just fine. I have also at times experienced the fluffy effect in certain areas as well have not quite found a way to solve that problem. Thanks for the review Abena!

Wow!!! Interesting... I am a diehard Ecostyler Krystal fan! I will have to give Wet Line a try though. Your hair came out beautifully, lasting all the way to day 7. I've got in between hair and I still have to dampen it a bit everyday. Thanks for the video!

Very good demonstration! I recall I had good results with the Wet Line gel, but haven't used it in years. I too have experienced small portions of my hair that seem bare of any products after it's dried. what I do now is use a comb & Denman brush to better help spread the products throughout my hair strands and use smaller sections. I do prefer Eco Styler gel over Wet Line though. TFS!

I love the wet line gel, my curls are exactly like yours and my wash and gos always look amazing. But I use diy flaxseed gel first and then use the wet line gel on top. The flaxseed is more for moisture

Cool. I used to do that with eco styler. The DIY flaxseed gel would help soften the effects of the eco styler and I would get fluffier curls.

I cannot treat my hair in a "one application fits all" manner. I have different hair at the crown, which I lovingly call "corpse hair." It is different in porosity, and density and if I am not careful to treat it as it needs, it will act differently from the rest of my hair. The gel took differently to your left side. I am wondering if one side of your hair is just different from the other. It's pretty common from what I understand.

I really appreciate your kindness of sharing your knowledge with us. I saw a video about a hair salon that was healing for me. I just have to ask you your opinion on something. Why it is called a "wash-n-go" when NO ONE just washes and goes. They wash, condition/deep condition, LCO or LOC, gel, shingle, praying hands, finger coil, etc . . .LOL?

Hi I just happened to come upon your Channel and I'm so glad that u did. I know with you being a hairdresser you have given a detailed description of how this product works. Thank you VM for that. I have been natural for 1 1/2yrs now and u can't for the life of me figure out how to get my coarse hair to work with a product. I'm trying to get more length with my hair and I have learned how to do the two strand and three strand twistout on my hair. My problem is when my hair dries and I go to take it down I have the parts in my hair but also it starts to FRIZZ 😞. I wanted to try this Wetline since I have seen a few videos on it. I don't have alot of money to keep throwing away on products (which is what I am doing) and trying to find work. I usually don't have a problem spending on good hair products but I needed a hairdressers opinion. Should I try a twistout with this or is the shingling better. Thanks so much for his video. Anna

May try this gel I don't like eco styler because they all contain protein and it makes my hair break.
@EmbraceNaturalBeauty8 жыл бұрын
Makes your hair break? How are you applying it with or without a moisturizer first? Are you shampooing your hair, are you deep conditioning?
@kaylaollivierre69528 жыл бұрын
My hair is protein sensitive so the proteins in them make my hair brittle and break. I deep condition every other week and shampoo every week. Anything with protein does that to my hair.
@EmbraceNaturalBeauty8 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I'm protein sensitive as well. I experienced dryness when using shampoo or leave in conditioner that contains moisture, but have experienced breakage. I am currently wearing my hair in braids to help retain moisture after a protein treatment I tested. A lot of the products we use contain some protein. That's why Shea Moisture introduced protein free shampoo, conditioner and leave in for Low Porosity hair. If your cleanser is free of protein, and your hair thoroughly cleansed you should be able to absorb some moisture. Having a protein free moisturizer should help you better maintain the moisture. Applying gel after successfully moisturizing your hair should not cause the hair to become dry. But it could also be the combination of the moisturizer and gel. When I combined SM Low with WC Get Set Hair Jelly or with Aunt Jackie's Don't Shrink Flaxseed Elongating Gel my Low Po section was dry. With Eco Styler and Wetline, the Low Po section retained moisture.
@kaylaollivierre69528 жыл бұрын
Embrace Natural Beauty I wish I could try the Shea moisture lines but being allergic to Shea butter, I have to stay away. Right now I use tea tree tingle shampoo and a Dominican deep conditioner. My leave in is from the macadamia oil line. But I'm also transitioning from relaxer and heat damage.

Hello there! Good to see you! I did a wash n go on me and my daughter hair the other day and next day we had flakes. I have 4b pattern. She has 4c very small curls. I've done wash n go's before but it seems like we just need one good product that won't be expensive. I've been down that road and got same or worse results. Our hair likes Blue Magic grease only not all the creams. My hair likes activator gels like Longaid and mostly the thick clear gels. My daughter hair doesn't respond well to gels unless it's oily like. Regular gels leave a residue. it seems like as long as I've been natural I'm still having problems. And I don't like continuing to buy products that I find don't work. Like I said before, our hair like hair grease. it makes it soft. My hair likes activator gels and styling gels. Not my daughter's hair. I just want the basics so I won't be wasting my time and $$. Any suggestions? Thanks Evelyn. Have a blessed day.

@Siniquimp5 жыл бұрын
I use to have the same problem but I started spraying water and aloe Vera juice on my hair before I apply the gel. Or you can use a liquid leave in. For the first time every my wash and go came out really good. There was a slight crunch nut I put oil on my hands and scrunched it. That was 2 days ago. My hair doesn’t feel hard and there was no flaking at all.

Hi Abena. Glad to see you tried this. I had great results with this but I struggled with the level of slip. I have since moved on. I would love your thoughts on glycerin. It turned out very nice. I think it looks great, just slightly noodle-like the first day...but that 7th day it was amazing. I'm not convinced that this will be your go to gel, am I wrong? It does remind me of ur wash n go's when ur hair was shorter using eco. Maybe since its much longer now this gel may not give u the beautiful fluff we've become accustomed to seeing you with lately. However, whatever u choose to use its always gorgeous. This is my all time favorite gel. tfs

Take your leave it and rub some on the top of your hand, then mix with the gel.. if it's smooth then it's a good combination, if it clumps up it's a no no and you will see residue. 👌

I do twist in her hair and I wash her hair weekly because if i don't it becomes dull and tangled. But my hair I wash every 2 weeks or so. Yes, I experience so much frizz when I let my hair air dry out (not in twists). Granted frizz even under water is natural for me (KZbinr and naturalista Dana Nicole has the same hair character). But it bothers me that frizz is dependent upon whether or not I let my hair air dry out or in twists AFTER I apply moisture. I do not do wash n gos because when I am done it is a frizzy mess making it appear dry even though I have applied moisture and sealed it with the heaviest oil (castor oil). So I have to allow my hair to dry in twists (something that compacts my hair) to maintain a moisturized look.

I literally hate wetline... so crunchy and gross. Smells strange on application, doesn't collate curls, I don't want to have to shingle every single time I wash. I wish I could see why everyone likes this so much. I really do.
