Thx abena. I'm going to try this on my first wash. I just cut the rest of the perm out so I'm a little nervous about doing wash and go but this was helpful. Glad u r near cause I will be reaching out :)

I love your videos they are so informative. At this time in my hair journey I'm still on the hunt for the perfect wash n go. I can get the curl but not the hang time that I'm looking for. My hair loves to go into a fro which is fine because I LOVE a fierce fro. I will be documenting my search for this wash n go on my YT channel and if you have some time tune because I would love your input. Be blessed my Sista!

I just subscribed to your channel. Thanks for your insight and honesty. I've learned soooo much, especially to be more gentle and more patient while handling my 4c natural short hair!

Your wash n go looks fab! I typically do not have good results on wash n go styles, but it is probably because I am impatient and do not like to spend a lot of time on my hair! I am going to try your techniques to see if this works for me. Thanks for doing this tag!xo

I've recently finally been able to consistently wear a WnG in my almost 4 years of being natural mainly thanks to your videos especially regarding water absorption. Do you moisturize in between washes? Either at night before bed or in the morning to style?

PG Wat Yay!! I am so happy to know my videos helped you with your wash n go. Thank you. I do not moisturize in between washes, mainly because I don't like product buildup. The few times I did just to see if it made a difference and my hair became frizzy. During the summer I was applying coconut oil for better lubrication, to keep my hair from bunching up too much. But I don’t like the way the coconut oil made my hair feel. It may be a combination of the climate so I will try it out again in the cooler months. How about you, are you moisturizing in between washes? If so, is it working well? How long does your WnG last?

Embrace Natural Beauty The life of my WnG is still a work in progress, I get about 4 days, max 5. I moisturize by spritzing water and sealing with a little jojoba oil after 2 days. I'm trying to figure out if I can get to 7days. For my hair, coconut oil works best as a prepoo or deep treatment enhancer and as one of a number of ingredients in a product I like. I love coconut oil but not to just add to my hair to style, I felt that it caused frizz.

interesting points and tips TFS!

What do you think about prepoos? I usually use coconut and jojoba oil the night before and then I clarify w/acv the morning of wash day.

ysmbklyn I personally tried the pre poo method once and did not see an added benefit. So I did not use it again. If it saved me detangling time or reduced the amount of breakage then I would do it. With any technique or tip I recommend you keep a record of your hair's response to see if you are gaining benefit rather than adding time and task to your regimen. See you began to pre poo is your detangling easier and faster? Do you have less breakage?

Afeisha Harewood. I showed the tight bun I put my hair in after air drying on wash day, just before I fluffed it out with hand held steamer. You can see the two posts on Dec 4, 2014 (5weeks ago) I am wearing yellow top. It's not the complete how to, your inquiry made me realize I have never shown the steps in it's entirety. Let me know if it's helpful. If not I will upload a more in depth demonstration.

how do u get the length stretch?
@EmbraceNaturalBeauty9 жыл бұрын
Afeisha Harewood. Thank you for asking!! I never showed the stretching technique in a KZbin video. Are you on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter? I can forward the link to what I posted on those platforms. I post several times throughout the week.
