I bought one about 3 months ago…not Hybrid nor is it a TRD model…but it is AWD. I live in Colorado in a small town at about 8,000 ft. But we travel down 3,000 ft. to shop, etc. quite often and averaging out the mpg it is getting 35 mpg. Going downhill it is 49 mpg. Uphill around 25…It handles fantastically. I don’t do off road…we have a truck for that. But I am looking forward to seeing how it handles in the snow. So far I absolutely love it!

I'm also in Colorado, at 6200 ft, thinking about ordering a 23. Hope you are still liking yours.

@@sircasm6578 I love mine! I got a really base model because they had it in stock and that was all they had. It has plenty of power as we go up and down to Canon City all the time which is about a 3,000 ft. drop from where we live in Westcliffe…has done well in the little bit of snow we have had…gets right about 35 mpg overall…I had a 4Runner (which I love) then we traded it for a Tundra which we also love but it gets about 19 mpg. So I wanted to go smaller. The only thing at all that bugs me a little is the road noise. I am not sure if a higher model would be better on that or if I am just spoiled from the higher models. ☺️

🥊🥊Becareful with the Hybrid version of these 5th gen Rav4's. There's a corrosion issue with a high voltage cable thats near the tire, affected by water/sand/salt/debris. Costs $5k - $7k to fix & isnt covered by the regular warranty. Its only covered by a 3year - 36k mile warranty. Theres currently a class action lawsuit going on about it.

I’m impressed with its clearance in off road test. I’ve been thinking about one of these for a couple years. Thanks.

I keep reading about a "hesitation" problem in the software starting with 2019 model that may or may not be updated or fixed in newer models. Any news on that? Thanks!

Today, I noticed that my 2022 RAV4 Hybrid was showing an MPG of 59.4 when I arrived at work. I'm a bit skeptical about the accuracy of the onboard computer. Due to roadwork, I had to endure bumper-to-bumper traffic on the two-lane, 35 MPH, back roads. I never plan to take this vehicle on an off-road adventure.

I purchased Rav4 2 weeks back. From driver side window, i hear huge wind noise at 80mph and above. The sound is like as if window is slightly down. Is it only just me?

Same here! I’m always rolling down then rolling windows up just incase 😅 Must be the rubber trim not being installed correctly???

If anyone is wondering, the catalytic converters are amazing on these cars and they are easy to reach for service. Look for the hybrids for best catalytic converter value and environment protection.
@IRLSuperb2 жыл бұрын
That sounds like a thief’s dream. Lots of catalytics are being stolen all over the nation
@Jamarkus_Delvonte2 жыл бұрын
@@IRLSuperb I just really like the environment and protecting the planet and catalytic converters do that very well.
@IRLSuperb2 жыл бұрын
@@Jamarkus_Delvonte I would argue that having no Cadillac converter will do a better job because you’re not throwing any fumes this is why electric cars are very good the only carbon footprint they produce is when there been built but they don’t pollute after being built much (specially if you charge at home with solar energy). So I would like to argue that electric cars with no Cadillac converters are at least 10 times better for the environment
@Jamarkus_Delvonte2 жыл бұрын
@@IRLSuperb some could argue that making of the batteries is worst for the environment. Mining pollutes and destroys the landscape, exploits the country (children miners), and refining and recycling process is a nightmare with corrosive chemicals. But I agree with you, the emissions are lower, even when charging from a coal powered plant. Also yes, the value of the catalytic converter will entice thieves.

So much of these figures were based on factors pre Covid. Resale prices are way different now

Great demonstration but almost zero review of actually how it compares as it suggested it would at the beginning of the video. AKA... pretty useless. sorry.
