Trooper's Report: While on patrol and running moving radar I observed V1 traveling at a high rate of speed on the 89 South bypass in the city of Mayflower. I activated my rear antenna and verified V1's speed to be at 70 MPH in a 35 MPH zone. I turned around and began to attempt to close the distance on V1. V1 traveled from Highway 89 S onto the eastbound entrance of Interstate 40 East. As I closed the distance, I activated my lights and then ultimately my siren due to the speed achieved. Once I knew that the driver of V1 (D1) was aware that I was behind him, I notified the Arkansas State Police Troop A Communications Center that I was in pursuit. The pursuit continued on Interstate 40 East reaching speeds of approximately 122 MPH. D1 began passing cars on the shoulder and driving erratic. I was then notified by Tfc. Ethan Carlton that D1 was in contact with the Faulkner County Communications Center. He advised that he was not stopping at that he was going home due to an emergency involving his daughter. The phone call was then transferred to the Arkansas State Police Communications Center. In the meantime, V1 exited Interstate 40 East to State Highway 365 at the 142-mile marker. V1 turned left and traveled north on State Highway 365 at a high rate of speed and reckless. At one point, V1 passed on a double yellow nearly hitting a car head on. I advised the Arkansas State Police Communications to tell him that if he did not stop, I was going to perform a P.I.T. maneuver. V1 then turned left onto Lunn Road from State Highway 365 continuing to travel at a high rate of speed. At this point I had an opportunity to conduct a T.V.I. and therefore a successful T.V.I. was conducted. As I exited my vehicle with my handgun drawn and light activated, I observed D1's hands to be empty and visible through the windshield. I gave verbal commands to D1 as I sliced the pie on V1. The driver exited V1 and was taken into custody without further incident. As other Troopers responded I asked them to go to the house to check on the daughter of D1. As it turns out there was no emergency, and the daughter was found to be fine. V1 was towed by Jim Smith Wrecker Service. D1 was transported to Faulkner County Unit II and charged with Fleeing 5-54- 125 (d)(2). 00:00 - Please like and subscribe! 00:30 - Suspect passes Trooper going twice the posted speed limit 01:52 - 10-37! This guy is a former officer and this is how he handled an emergency. Complete fool who risked his and everyone else's life. He actually said his wife was calling the police while he was driving home. He needs to teach his daughter that if she is home alone and thinks someone broke in to call 911 instead of dad and mom who are not home. Expensive lesson.

*For a former police officer, that clown has a lot of audacity.* From his training and Leo experience, he knows that fleeing from the police when they are conducting a lawful stop doesn’t have a justifiable reason. Then driving in the wrong lane head-on into oncoming traffic and passing on the shoulder adds up to *an automatic trip to jail earning a felony fleeing charge* . Putting hazard lights on or calling 911 dispatcher doesn’t work in your favor either. R.i.p to his nice vehicle now destroyed by his foolishness. Sucks not having a reliable vehicle anymore when you live in the middle of nowhere, far away from public transportation of any sort. 😂

Technically they're not supposed to let someone use a phone at all at that point. They cut this guy a huge courtesy. He at least kept his mouth shut about his situation he would not have been allowed to tell anyone, normally. I'm sure the officers at the house spilled the beans. Dad only got four days served for this and a year of probation. His car insurance will not cover the wreck because he was fleeing. So he's out the vehicle. That's his punishment for risking lives. Pretty sad.

@@LatitudeSky But this wasn't a normal cut-and-dried arrest. They let him call her out of concern for her safety. I couldn't hear the phone call very well, but it sounded like she DID leave the house and they were instructing her to go meet them on the porch. The cops had to confirm she was alright, so that required a phone call to find out where she was. Did I misunderstand the phone call? The sound quality was really bad for me.👂🏻

I get that he may have been eager to get there and my have even sped to get there quick, but the fact that neither of them called 911 about the supposed intruder smells fishy to me. He can still hurry there too. All he did was delay the response and get himself arrested. His charges SHOULD be pretty severe too for how reckless he was the entire time, plus his truck is totaled.

Thanks very much. It sounded like they caught "Andre the Giant" as he also has/had a daughter as well but sadly passed away many years ago. I worked in the Wrestling business for 3 years and had the honour to meet Andre. Despite what a lot of folks say about Andre, and his enormous size (he was about 510 lbs when I met him) he was very kind and gentle (at least to me and my friends/co-workers). When a man cannot fit in any police vehicle with that many vehicles around with full or single cages (I only watched once and that is what I think I heard the officers say?) the gent must be a very large man. Glad to hear the daughter is okay and hopefully the gent will get his issues settled and be able to enjoy his family. Very sad in certain ways, but happy in others.

About 2 hours later I get a call from the County Jail. My friend had been pulled over for criminal speed and arrested. He bailed out and when he got home, he found his father dead, suffered from a heart attack. No one else was around to help him. If it were me, I wouldnt have stopped for the cop. Some things are just more important

@@justice4everybody It's in the Trooper's Report in the description of what he was charged with and there was only one charge. The description also shows what he plead guilty to, one misdemeanor. No speeding, no reckless operation, no left of center. He should've had multiple charges listed in that Report, not just one.
