I like both your fish and your sun. The dark fish just appears as an older fish. We live near the Columbia River and one of its dams with a fish viewing room, and my grandson and I spent a lot of viewing time there. We have also been down inside the dams and visited with the fish counters (yes, there are people who count fish as they travel up and down the river). We also spend a lot of time at the fish hatcheries....fish come in all shapes and colors, even changing as they grow older. I enjoyed watching you make this fish. When I have more scraps, I am going to attempt your project. There used to be a 14 foot sturgeon at the Bonneville Dam, Herman was his name, and my grandson and I visited Herman a lot. So your fish can be tiny or quilt sized. Thank you for sharing. This is my first time on your site and I will be back. Great ideas.

Nora, great job. Interesting, I usually like bright colors for fish but I actually like the darker fish this time. I think the brighter fish and the sun and then a moon would make a cute baby quilt.

Wow! I think this fish is awesome. I like the colors. They are calming. It looks great with the center star, the oranges in both. I also like the shape. The mouth/ head turned out perfect. I like how you changed the tail fin. I hope you show the completed quilt. I am Interested in seeing what you decide to do with this block.

I just found your channel and don't know what you ended up doing with these blocks. I think adding a side fin and some embroidery or machine stitching over them when quilting would really make them even more fun. Enjoyed this and I would incorporate more angles into the blocks.

I like both fish. Try putting the top fish on the bottom and the bottom on the top, then it may look like an umbra effect. Either way Great job.

I disagree Nora I think the second one is just as good as the first. I like the fact that the first one is brightly colored and the second one is dull colored. If you look in an aquarium that's exactly what happens you have some fish that are like very colorful and some that are more camouflaged. I think the problem like you said was that there wasn't enough contrast in the second fish with the background. But you wanted them both in the same "sea" so you had to kind of work with the same blue for both fish.
