You’re absolutely correct. It’s a great little device that packs a ton of great tones and features. I sold my Helix because it was just too much of a rabbit hole for my needs (I don’t gig regularly, so didn’t really need all that Helix offered). But this fills in everything I need, and is so simple to use right out of the box. And at a ridiculous price point! Hotone Ampero!👍🏻🤘🏻

Hi. Great demo. Love your energy and great playing. I own an Ampero since nearly a year after trying different kind of modelers.. and I stopped looking for anything else. It does all I might need, sounds good, is intuitive to use and feels as good or better as high end products. Really love it and I would recommend it to anyone, beginner up to 'working class' gigging musicians ;-)

Bought a new one (open box) about 6 months ago for $350.00 and never looked back. I absolutely love it, especially the bang for the buck. Bought it to replace a Boss GT-100 which was too big to fit in gig bag and I like it better. The only negative criticism I have heard is that some of the amp models are a bit off, but I have found that with the editor software I can tweak almost any sound I need. Is it as good as my friends AXE FX III ?......No, but at 1/4 the price you will never hear me say a nasty word. Also, that would only apply to being used in a high quality studio setting. For a live gig or jam, no one would ever be able to tell the difference, plus it's a lot easier to use.

so true!! i think it has alot of things it does just as well as the axe fx. you could set this up for any live application!

Great demo Jimmy! I haven’t hear about it till recently either. My buddy Danny has a channel where he makes music with his Autistic son told me about it. $300 for mini Helix and it’s better than the Helix Stomp. Great time for (non-gigging) musicians- tons of great quality gear at affordable prices out there now. Rock on 🤘

I didn't want to like it, l thought it was a helix copy like all the clones out there. After many months of trying it at Sam Ash, going down to $299.00 l picked it up. I owe Ampero an apology, that touch screen is nice to have and easy to dial in almost anything l recommend it.

Do recommend finding the reddit and facebook pages for these units, if you have one. So many custom patches are uploaded by other players.

First impression, I like this guy 👍 then I like this pedal. I laugh when other say this pedal doesn't have good presets. Near the end I was sold. Great video

@@jimmyfranklin I do think it's a great pedal, I'll have to buy it and try it out. I've own a pod go, a mooer ge 200, a zoom gx1on and a zoom g5n. I think my favorite was the ge 200, because it's sound and it's user friendliness. The ampero hotone reminds me of the mooer ge 200. I think I'll definitely buy one to try it out.👍

I was in the air for this or the GE300...this one is not so "edgy" AND it "feels" better, well worth the $$$!

Welcome to world of entry level modellers... There's a lot of them now... That's why line 6 introduced the Pod Go.
@jimmyfranklin3 жыл бұрын
this thing is by no means entry level... but that is a really good point.. I feel like line 6 hasn't really cleared the "Pod" name yet... the Pod Go is INSANELY good. but blows the old Pod 500 so far out of the water you would forget it existed. its not the same piece of gear hahah
@kenmasters0073 жыл бұрын
@@jimmyfranklin probably doesn't have entry level features that we expect but it's in the $300-$500 range I guess that's more mid tier? Take a look at the NUX MG300 if you can. It's not as sturdy, but sounds better than the ampero. $100. 🙀

When I reviewed this the Pod Go had not been released. I personally really love line 6 modeling stuff. So I’d recommend that now.

@@jimmyfranklin thanks for the very prompt response the limited customisable signal chain blocks in the pod go halt me slightly. The hx effects or stomp xl are options ive looked at have you used them or just the full blown helix?
