Most people think they know Skynyrd because they've heard Free Bird and Sweet Home Alabama and maybe two or three others . I was hoping you'd get around to this song. I knew you would enjoy it. One of my favorites by this band, and I love all their songs. It's the first track on their debut album. That's a helluva introduction Imo. The song Things Going On from the same album is one you have to listen to. You'll love it.

I was 11 when this album came out and my older brother got it for Christmas along with headphones to connect to our old mid-century modern Zenith stereo console. I listened to this album over and over again with those headphones (along with Who's Next, the album my other older brother got). Was sold on both Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Who from then on! Thanks for the reaction! Not sure what LS songs you have done already but "I Need You" has always been a favorite of mine, along with "Saturday Night Special", "Working For MCA", "Swamp Music", "On the Hunt"... cheers!

I would like to see you breakdown comparos of songs featuring Bob Burns on drums (studio) vs. Artimus (Live) . To show how Art supercharged their sound to almost power metal levels !!! The Song "Trust" Original version vs. Trust from GBMB LP . Bob on original ,Artimus on GBMB version . Song sped up ,higher key ,much bigger drum fills technical stuff . Songs like RAILROAD SONG (CHOO CHOO! ) "Am I Losin' " Need all my Friends , Wino , Don't ask me no questions , Poison Whiskey , Swamp Music . Compare The Band with Ed King /without him (75'-75' ) ,then injection of Steve Gaines in 76' .How their sound was dastically different . Also the absolute best live video footage availible "The Old Grey Whistle test Ai Upscaled to HD 60FPS !!!!!!! Ronnie had a headcold for that show & it is noticable but still a asskiker of a show !!!!!!!!

What hapened here was This girl who got araounf Jacksonvile got knocked up , and her Pops found out and interrogated her into confessing ,so she said it was RVZ 's . Ronnie never for a millisecond would have dealt with the old man , & did the math and knew it wasnt his . She had been wit ha lot of dudes & Ronnie would have stepped up if he thought it was his . Maybe he pulled out , wore a jimmy , or didnt even get to home plate . He was a stand up dude so we know it was a frame up job from the start .

Great stuff Biz .. This is a song that is more than meets the eye . The song is about a pregnant girl who had apparently been with several dudes . She told her Father that she believed RVZ to be the Father . Ronnie did actual math & realized it couldnt have been him . There is cool breakdowns for the Skynyrd bangers ,done by Scott Raines.Scott is guitarist /vocals for the Artimus Pyle Band !!! (The actual last dude standing ). Van zant had voice injury from over use. He would lose his voice. Rossington spoke about ronnie having replacement. new singer . & ronnie managing & writing. They new who it was. One of his little brothers

BTW , Biz . I wasn't sure if you have watched this yet , it's The Old Grey Whistle test from 1975 in London . It has been upscaled to 1080P & is the most intense footage of LS that I know of. It is incredible. Also ,Ronnie was ill with Flu or cold as you can hear it in a few songs like Alabama,Freebird ,& this track Ibelieve.
