Small town rookie cop Jen investigates one in a string of disappearances with her veteran partner, but then heads off early for a first date with a man she met online.
Although the date seems to be going well, a call from Jen's mom sends her outside to chat, leaving her date alone with her drink.
One careless moment of misplaced trust, and Jen finds herself in the trunk of a car, trussed up and with duct tape over her mouth. After a nail-biting moment when her captor is pulled over by Jen's still-on-the-job partner for failing to signal a turn, her captor is let off with a warning and Jen is left to plan her own escape.
Finding a tire iron in the car, she waits for her moment and when her captor opens the trunk, she lets him have it.
He's down but not out, and Jen screws up her courage for a final, brutal showdown.

It is crazy to think that even such traumatic and intense circumstances/events, such as being kidnapped, are completely overshadowed and seemingly trivial when it comes to extraordinary things such as unexplainable phenomena and extraterrestrials. It truly puts things into perspective because for whatever reason, I guess hubris is the best term, for the sake of vulgarity anyways, anything even down to global stability seems comparably trivial

Congratulations Josh, the short film was really amazing. So well done that I thought it was a large story zipped. Tightness and perfection are quality labels here. The performances are great, mixing a serial killer with a UFO event is really original and shocking. From start to finish an unique piece. Sound effects and Sci-fi effects are impressive, the flying saucer it is out of this world. I loved much the music that plays in the bar. Thank you so much for sharing.

I rather doubt that. She's still tied up, smaller, weaker, and in a poor position. Props to her for being a fighter, but people have this weird Hollywood tendency to assume that being "spunky" somehow guarantees victory, when it usually doesn't. We already see she can't hit very hard with her hands tied, and has trouble holding on to the weapon. And now she's lost the element of surprise.
