Leslie was greedy, too. She didn't want to lose her lover so she destroyed the time machine instead of just leaving it be. So now there is fodder for the next short; the story of the poor time traveller who, due to a minor lapse of attention, is stuck in the past because some selfish ahole destroyed his time machine. Hope he can hitch a ride to Hill Valley in 1985 and hitch a ride on a DeLorean

No, some endings are awful, many are non existent. Occasionally an idea left in a pensive state works and is appropriate but too often it's the result of laziness, superficiality or plain lack of talent. You must love JJ Abrams' work.

Now that's a really good short. The premise, plot and ending made clear, no ambiguities (except of course the origin of the time machine), it's like a full feature in synopsis length. Like it. Wish this would be a trend at Dust.

Oh, what a good girl! She chose happiness over riches. I am proud of her. Most time travel stories don't end well. Which, if you think about it, is about right. This is one where the protagonist stops the cycle before fucking up the timeline. Well done, folks. Great film!
@jkyoft782 жыл бұрын
This was so well done. Excellent story. Very good audio. Acting was very good and the characters were very likable. Nice pace, good length (no extra stuff), self-contained - no loose ends, no un-connected dots. Dabbled slightly with the 'greed' concept, but really didn't stray too far from the main path of the love they had between them....very nice. One of the better films I have seen on KZbin, top 5-10% in my opinion. Clever and fresh, not the same old same old. Great take away feeling for me....this would be a great Valentine Day movie to watch.

Congratulations to Charles Wahl and his "out of this pub" team. Lesley and Kevin performance is great, script and dialogues are sublime, the ambience sound effects and music are polite and very well matched. Great exposition and narration effort, considering that the shortfilm lasts approximately 10 minutes, about the dilemma of what we want and what suits us. Congratulations to Canada and The National Screen Institute. Thank you 🤍UST.

Hard to imagine anyone being so careless with such a powerful thing as that. Reminds me of an old Twilght Zone episode where a man finds a stopwatch tat freezes time. He freezes time and while robbing a bank drops and breaks the watch.

The second part can focus kn the sad story of the poor time traveler whose time machine fell out of his pocket when he got off the bus at the last stop. Because some selfish person couldn't just let it be (instead, destroying it) due to personal reasons, the original owner of the device is now doomed to spend the rest of his/her life in the past. Could even title it "bus ride"
