I don't know how I could best describe this project. A restoration, a rebuild; perhaps something between these two would be more accurate, but I don't know how should I call it. I would definitely like hear your thoughts, so please leave your comments below!
What I can say with certainty is that this project was a really challenging one. Follow me as I bring to life this beautiful little drill press. I hope you’ll enjoy it as I enjoyed it myself.
All the best
Dimitris

The "Collet" adapter is a piece of art Dimitris...such precision turning of tiny tapers...should be made to the music of "Ride of the Valkyries". ;-P The motor mounts are eye candy also!! Love the series and what you are putting into it!

Hey PJ, thank you for your kind words! Although I'm not very pleased with the way the chuck arbor was made, it is accurate; I'm saying this because I have already checked it. I like the motor mounts too, are looking almost like the original ones😁 Thank you once again! Take good care Dimitris

Absolute top quality as always! I did run into the 3exact same problem whan i was looking in my "collection" for a motor to an old hobby wood late i restore for my neighbour daughter, my neigbors old dad previously kidnly gave me some old single phase motors i taught would look nice, but i did run into the wall when i tried to figure out a realistic way to keep the torch while going up or down in RPM, this time it did end up a bit unexpected since i found the "original" motor in the trash and it turned out to be the only 3 phase vintage motor... ha ha I saw those castings are stil made as well as the quorn grinder and the wormgear hob, now i realy hawe to save up money so i can affort the import cost... ha ha!

I appreciate your comment my friend, it means a lot to me! I hope you'll find a solution with the motor before buying a new one. Take good care Dimitris

@@JimmysCanal Thank You! I did find an old 3 phase motor from the same era! I think it original was refitted for it because it had a brass pulley for the same type of D belt. I know the new ones are probably stronger, but i love the vintage look, and it was kindly given to me by the same person.

@@sheep1ewe I do like old things, especially if these are tools, motors or machines. Glad to hear about the 3 phase motor, I'm sure that the person who gave you the motor is happy too.

@@sheep1ewe I'm sure that you'll find the drip feed oiler-s you looking for, I don't think they are so rare. You can search ebay as well; you never know, with a bit of luck you can find something in pristine condition and good price. Thank you too, I'm grateful for your support all these years I have this channel. Take good care Dimitris
