hey D! I always see you above your furnace trying to get a good shot of the melting metal (some of my favorite shots) and I think you could get some really fire shots with a mirror above your furnace at 45º, I'm sure you can find camera equipment that does that; I'll look into it further myself though.

The copper droplets and splashes might not have the precise, OCD beauty of a molded piece, but it has a raw, untamed, wild sort of beauty to it. No artifice, no man-made manipulation or interference in its form; just pure physics.

2:23 Copper is so Amazing. When new, it has a shiny Red-Orange color, when older it goes to Dark-Brown. Later it gets a natural Green patina. When you melt it, the flames turns into Green, when you dissolve it with Acid, the Liquid is Blue.

Next time it would be amazing to see you do that with waterbeads in that tank instead of water. I've seen Ralph Mourik do an aluminium one which was great because it basically created a bigger sculpture like your little bits, but as I'm a copper girl, that would be freakin amazing to see! Just a suggestion! I have finally got round to making your 1million gift, very delayed I know! It's just a little thing but it'll probably be about half a million short by the time you get it!! Shame about the detail on the copper sand mould one, but I actually quite like the effect it gave! I adore bars but it is also really nice to see some of the smaller trinkets being made too, looked absolutely gorgeous in the bottle, another fantastic video!

Thanks Big D, fascinating as usual. When you pour the copper into the fishtank try to make a tank length of frozen splash by being lower to the surface, pouring a tad faster and perhaps half the amount of water. A splayed out copper splash would look cool and eye catching next to your other trinkets in the treasure room. May you achieve your golden ton, you and the boys have worked hard for it.

And not only are you purifying the metal, this next part is for any who might think it's just a waste of time or whatever, but your also freeing up space by making the metal a Tiny bit more compact and Definitely a lot easier to store for future use. I mean it legit goes from being long pieces of pipe sitting in the corner in a bucket down to being small enough to fit in a mason jar on the shelf with little impurity left in it......plus you get to have fun just melting to be melting and killing some time. I'd say it's well worth it. (edited for some spelling)
