I am so happy to see you around. Spring is always stressful. I think that what will be always welcome on a channel (of any kind) is whatever excites you at the moment, because excitement and enthusiasm is contagious. If you are not very eager on ideas then maybe check out your old work to remember that spark. I think my favourite video you have ever made was the magpie one. Personally, I never get enough of your lectures on different species like you did for Animals Collective. It is kind of soothing, inspiring and it is educational at the same time. I have also really excelled at painting birds thanks to your videos on bird anatomy.

Super sweet tulips. I would love to see you paint foliage such as background weeds, leaves, plants and foresty stuff. I'm having trouble with that as it ends up looking muddy and chaotic. Thanks. BTW, beautiful job on that sweater... WOW.

Good idea! I've done a lot of client work with grassy/foliage backgrounds so I have some good tricks.

I am desperate for longer videos! Maybe play around with a random limited pallet or another monochrome painting!! But I understand if that's too much on you! You take care of you! Stay happy and healthy!

Hi Mary, I love your channel but obviously take care of yourself and your home first! Regarding some ideas for paintings - I love your en plein air videos (which might be tough not sure how open Canada is with COVID). Perhaps you could paint more birds or horses. I know this is a completely different part of Canada but since the polar bears are coming out of their dens perhaps you could paint one frolicking through those purple-pink flowers fields at the edge of the arctic? Also how do you paint a monochrome animal like a bear?

Your channel is one of my most favorites on youtube and I absolutely adore your art. I personally would love if you'd make more videos about your paintmaking process, it's very cool and interesting. Would you ever consider making more content about creature design? It's hard for me to think of anyone else who designs dragons like you, they're quite unique. Either way, take care and stay safe

Me too!! We've had some very lame weather on my free days lately but I hope to go out more often this summer, since last summer was so strange with the pandemic

Your sweater is gorgeous! :0) Are you back at the museum yet? I always find it more challenging to find energy for painting when things are crazy at work. I hope you find some painting inspiration/energy soon! If you're looking for ideas for videos, I'd love to learn more about you achieve iridescence when painting things like scales or feathers. I have been playing around with this and failing miserably. LOL

Yes, I'm back at the museum and it is definitely hectic/disjointed there. Certainly affecting my productivity at home because I just want to vegetate and knit lol

Hi Mary, any ideas when your handmade watercolours will be available again? I missed them the first time around.

Hi! I'm not sure, I've been pretty stressed from work and home/yard in the transition to spring and haven't felt like working on them but I'll try to dedicate some specific days!
