In doubt check what local authorities (lifeguards, coastguards, police) ride in your area. Guarantied they go for reliable, local conditions specific machines. Here in Hawaii, life guards (and tow in surfers) all ride FXHO, so that is what I am getting ;-)

These are all great tips. I also think that the SAFETY of a ski and the reputation of the brand are very important. Kawasaki Jet Ski is the only brand that DOES NOT HAVE 1) safety related recalls or 2) active class action lawsuits due to defective products that continue to be sold. These are facts, not opinions.

I failed to really look into what I was getting, I purchased (2) 2 up 2015 sparks, I hated them. Very rough riding. I just now purchased a 2018 FX SVHO. I love this one. Rides perfect, and way faster. I live in AZ, ride Roosevelt and other fresh water lakes

I’ve put this in other videos of yours. I wanna get a gp1800 svho. I will I could only get these features. Tachometer. speedometer. Fuel gauge. Trim tab. Reverse. Some not a lot of storage. A seat that fits 1 adult. Loud paint or all black. The baddest engine Yamaha makes and the lightest hull they make. Riva tune. I wanna go fast. I don’t care about comfort. I made this mistake with my 2021 spark 3 up. Bought the comfort seat and it does make a big difference but even still, I work I would have went with the gri130 my dealership has available last March when I was making my decision. And that’s when all these crazy fees etc weren’t extremely high. Now I’ll have to pay even more🤦‍♂️ it’s just insane how dealer ships wanna charge over $5000 more on skis

Honestly after getting used to the RXPX I don’t notice that chin walk as much after 5 hours on her! Still wish I could of found a svho though…… guess I was lucky to get the RXPX….

All solid thoughts. Same goes,for hunting or etc. All makes a huge difference in the gear selected and weapon used. Buy wrong gear for what you want to accomplish and guys get mad and quit. Hunting whitetail in Arkansas sand hunting elk in the basins of CO takes vastly different gear. We have a large FB group for our area for ski riders. Over 50% of all new members join just to ask questions. Never owned a ski. Several months later you meet them at the dock or on lake. Most are so poorly informed on the ski that would accomplish what they want to do. They ask questions and folks reply what they have is great. Does not mean it is what would work for the new folks.🤦🏻‍♂️

It's no different than buying a dirt bike, motorcycle or whatever. "Why do you want the 450 or big bike?" If you cant hold the bike up or it's too much power you'll hate it.
