Hi! If UDS uses light functions, to generate cloud shadows chances are that they won't work as light functions in general are not supported on translucent water materials at the moment - it's an engine limitation

Hi. Can Waterline interact with Chaos Physics? I have been tweaking many diffrent collision settings a long time but I haven't get any result. Fractured pieces don't interact with the water surface. Maybe I do something wrong or the WaterLine can't work with Chaos Physics yet?

Hi! Not out of the box with the tools we've provided BUT we have had other users successfully blend alembic flip fluid simulations from other software with Waterline, they also made a tutorial on how they achieved this here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZSZi2qsp7Cmb80 This is a 3rd party tutorial so we can't guarantee the outcome, but from the what we've seen it does look possible.

realistically how performant is this to be used in an open world game as an endless ocean? I've seen a mixture of reviews that comment how heavy intensive waterline pro is and not quite geared for games but more for cinematics

Hi! You can use it for both since you can really fine tune the simulation quality and other VFX to match what you need - some effects are more expensive to run than others. You can have a look at some of our per-packadged demo projects on our storefront to get a better understanding of performance - it's worth noting that UE4 generally runs faster on older hardware though you can get similar results in UE5 by lowering some of the general graphics settings like Lumen :)

@@dumpsterfireproductions I have dropped in a mannequin into my map, with the gen3 ocean, and during sequencer playback with simulation started, I get no collision. Ive added the collision channel, enabled overlap events, and adjusted collision settings to Query Only. Not sure what to do

Could it be an issue with the way Waterline is tracking the mannequin - the default setup looks at the player pawn currently controlled, custom game modes can sometimes require some extra steps to implement.
