Who would have thought a fuel can video would have such an awesome soundtrack?

I received your red 20l can 2 days ago. After a thorough inspection, I am very impressed with the quality of construction. I have many of the Scepter military fuel cans and while they are also of good quality, I think I prefer the Wavian brand as I do not need a special wrench to open your cans. You have a new customer, and I will be recommending your products from this point forward.

That's great to hear. The Scepter cans are very good too (we've actually just started selling them on our UK website).

Awesome! Thanks for the comments Peter, enjoy!

It would be a nice can if the prep work before applying the interior coating was done.

Wavian took the original German design, which was already good, and made it better and safer with seam-welded handles, a chute breather instead of a tube to almost eliminate splashing and....whatever they did to make it take so much heat and pressure!!

That far exceeded anything I expected. In the USA an alcohol gasoline blend is mandated. If a mix like this is stored in your can and the can is laid on its side in a way that results in the gasket for the lid to be continually immersed how long will that gasket last and is the alcohol going to damage it? Also if the can is stored in an upright position will the fumes from the gas and alcohol damage the gasket? Is there any need or recommendation for replacing the lid gasket at sometime in the future.
@wavianuk3 жыл бұрын
HI Dave, it's a very good question. We would always recommend fuel cans are not stored on their side and the deterioration of the gasket can depend on numerous factors temperature, regular use (or not) etc so it would be difficult to put a specific timeframe. In normal use these should last for many years, but obviously replacing a gasket is much cheaper than purchasing a new can. I hope that goes some way to answering your question.

I have ordered two of your 20L cans and I'm looking forward to using them.

i picked up the 5L one. is this build to the same quality standards as the bigger capacity ones?
@wavianuk3 жыл бұрын
Yes! the 5 litre is a very similar design to the 20 litre. Just a bit smaller.

Would you recommend that the fuel is discarded if the can suffers a severe drop? I saw another video where the internal paint cracked a flaked away after the drop.
@wavianuk3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question. hmmm I think it depends on the severity of the drop, a small drop would probably be ok, but if you dropped it from a 2nd floor window it may not be in such a good condition. Please note that the cans are only designed for use with fuel and using them to store water will cause a reaction with the internal rezol lining and cause it to flake.

@@wavianuk thank you.

You really should be pouring your fuel through a filter anyway.

These are good tests....but we all knew they would be completed without issue....... What about doing each test again and again..... increasing the height or time to see when catastrophic failure takes place.... that'd be a great video to watch and market the (undoubtedly) extreme durability

How do you add the air valve to to can?
@wavianuk6 жыл бұрын
Hi James, if you look closely at the video around 1.03 this was a fitting made with a drill and connector especially for the safety demonstration.

It's a shame they do all these tests on the their cans and then throw a useless spout on it and render it worthless.
