That is a perfect example of what makes Americans great people. Taking on obstacles and difficulty with know how and a positive attitude in a vehicle designed originally for when America was fighting to save the world. I salute you guys for carrying on the tradition of never giving up. And I salute my Grandfather's who fought in WW2 and took part in the Normandy invasion and the Battle of the Bulge. Don't quit don't ever quit.

+tyler t On this film, he was still running factory axles with replacement chromoly shafts. I should note that he ended up bending the flanges on his rear shafts and Northridge4x4 would not warranty them.
@wayalife8 жыл бұрын
+tyler t Unfortunately, they really aren't or at least, depending on how hard you really are on them. He was really surprised that they wouldn't help him too especially being that the shafts were essentially new and were supposed to come with a no questions asked warranty. He no longer shops with Northridge4x4
@TrainwreckATX8 жыл бұрын
What kind of shafts were they? I thought it was the manufacturer's position to accept or deny a warranty claim. Is that not the case?
@wayalife8 жыл бұрын
+TrainwreckATX At the time, they were shafts that Northridge4x4 had ordered up and were the only ones selling them. The warranty claim had to go through them of course, they are no longer selling these shafts.

Nice to see the toyos and spyders locks back out on the trail!
@wayalife9 жыл бұрын
+David Lamm LOL!! It was a good setup and as much as we liked the look of the spyder lock rings, they're far from practical. They like to catch on rocks and tree roots and if they get bent like ours were, they throw off your balance. ATX makes them for spyder lock and I prefer their simpler rings.

Thanks for the great video. Too bad you couldn't spend the night and see the rest of the trail in light, it's spectacular. Fordyce is an epic trail, like Rubicon but more vertical. At Sierra Trek the long wheelbase trail participants like to march down from camp(at the end of the trail, accessible by fire roads), and watch the carnage on the last three winch hills(I'm dating myself, this was back before 4 door Wranglers).

great video! I had the chance to run Fordyce twice before leaving CA. My 33's & 3" lift did well. admittedly, I didn't do WH#1. and my buddies tricked me at WH#2 by not telling me it was a winch hill. I made it without needing to winch. valve stem on 1 tire & a busted sidewall on another. just glad Jezebel made it through
