Wayne's World is one of the best feel good comedies (and movies) I've ever seen. I adore the satire at music being eroded by big money. The inside jokes (the forbidden riff), sweet and goofy lead characters who are sweet, innocent and cute. Wayne and Garrh are adorable. I know a lot of people may not agree, but I think a lot here can agree, this should've gotten some Oscar nominations and wins.

I was on the set for the filming. The store clerk did have more lines than what they put in the movie. The script read: Wayne - "I'd like to take a look at this Fender Strat" Clerk - "again?" I own the store it was filmed at. There were more lines to the scene but they ended up on the cutting room floor. After Wayne said he'd like to see the Fender, the clerk said "'again?" and Wayne said "Yes". Then the clerk said "You come in here every Friday to play this". Then Tia snaps at him and says "Look, he just wants to try the guitar". So that's why the clerk says "again".

@@SaintKines That black guitar is a Schecter Strategy made in 1989. When the production crew showed up to film, the prop master asked my what the plainest looking guitar I had was. I showed him this Schecter and he gave me $75.00 to use it in the movie.

Apparently the original theatrical version of Wayne’s World did have the intro of Stairway To Heaven being played. No idea why they changed it when I’m sure they could get away with less than 3 seconds of the song.

They really couldn’t. If they wanted to use those same 4 notes on the home video release they would’ve had to of paid royalties to whoever owned stairway to heaven. So they decided to play 4 generic notes instead.
