I agree which is why I gotta disagree w/ BZ about the pros & cons. The Badd/Page opener was decent opening card match & Austin showed his chops after WCCW days & before going Stone Cold, and I think they were better matches than those car crash matches. Forgetting all of the bumps, Foley pound for pound may be the most talented wrestler ever. He could work with giants and cruiserweights, could tell any story to the audience and could make everything actually feel real. And he was a complete success wherever he went, in spite of not being anything like Hogan or Warrior in terms of "having the look" that allowed many, many people to coast to a so-called "career".

From my memory, they had four PPV matches: Spring Stampede 94, Halloween Havoc 95 with the TV title on the line, WW3 95 with the title and Kimberly on the line, and Superbrawl 96 with the title and 12 million that Page stole from Kimberly on the line. They were also scheduled for a match at Uncensored 96 with DDP's career on the line, but Badd jumped ship, so Badd was replaced by the Booty Man (Ed Leslie), which lead to the very strange scene of Kimberly being hot for Ed Leslie. Yikes!!! Of course, DDP lost that match, but wound up geting reinstated months later to win the Battlebowl ring at Slamboree. I always thought it was a lost opportunity that they never explained who intervened for DDP (I think it was hinted to be Kimberly at some point). It would have made tremendous sense for the benefactor to have been the Outsiders, as DDP had a history with both during their previous WCW runs as the Diamond Studd and Vinnie Vegas. They could have come out as benefactors, with Million Dollar Man's money, only to have DDP turn them down.

I don't think it's "bigoted" to say that people from Hawaii eat a lot of pineapple. It would be like making a joke about lobster for a guy who was billed from Maine, or potatoes if he was from Idaho. If you guys are reading something into it about Steamboat not being white, I actually find that understanding to be, itself, racist. It's just because he was (billed) from Hawaii.

Zane, the big gold belt was brought back at the same time that WCW rejoined the NWA as the NWA world title... Champs were Chono, Muta, Barry Windham, Ric Flair, and Rick Rude... Then WCW left the NWA again, and they came up with the "WCW International Board" idea to keep the belt active and not screw Rude out of his world title run.

So glad you did this PPV! This is one of my personal favorites ever, and one of the most underrated ones in WCW’s history. The time period from late-‘91 through Spring 1994 had some terrific PPVs, matches and feuds in my opinion. This part of WCW’s history gets overlooked because now we know how awful financially the company was doing. But in terms of in-ring quality, the roster was stacked and some terrific in-ring stuff was going on. I’m a longtime WCW fan (since the 80s)

Them not using the mick Foley ear situation was such a missed opportunity. Could have said Vader did a vicious attack on cactus jack for a match in Germany. He tied his head in the ropes and he ripped off cactus Jack's ear and that is why he isn't on TV. Then have a warning saying they will show pictures of it and it is not for the feint of heart so viewer discretion is advised and it is a cleaned up shot of the ear. And like just build it to Vader is this savage beast and cactus jack wants to kill him. It's simple. Could also say Vader went to cactus Jack's hospital room to laugh at him while police escorted Vader out. It has some truth to it so it is believable, it is a ear so it is something memorable with how unique it is, and what better way to send cactus jack away than the big monster basically destroying him for good
