It may be beneficial to start your blogs noting the date and reminding people that times and trends change. Direct them to the places they can get current information to the new trends. I started focusing on suggestions made in older videos and implementing some of them. This is obviously a newbie mistake on my part. The old information is good to know where things came from, but nice to be reminded as a newbie that some of the topics and suggestions you may be making in these videos may become obsolete in the near future and that we should always confirm current trends and suggestions.

Funny that you guys just said you changed your position on the 1 Authority and 1 Passive site strategy because I just finished my 5th article/video on my new site. However, I'm going to go ahead and continue building the second site. I'm pretty confident that I'll succeed again. I've got 15 years of experience in the niche, so I'm not too worried. Thanks again for the advice. I hit 12,850 page views last month on my first site, and it looks like I'm going to get 14,200 this month at the one year mark. Your advice really does work, and I appreciate it a lot.

Truth is this is the best thing to happen for everyone ... it gives everyone that wants to share their real knowledge and make money from it a chance ... as long as they put the effort into sharing that information and proving it... like they said personal branding matters, but that is pretty simple with social media combined with your blog, as easy as starting a KZbin channel and talking to the world ... like a real person would...
@ThirtyMinuteMarketing
@ThirtyMinuteMarketing 5 жыл бұрын
@Jon Dhoe There is a barrier to entry to accomplish anything … when you want to do it right. No one says that you can't still get organic search … just if you want to rank with Google you have to accept their rules... It's not a free marketplace, its Google's marketplace in this case … again other ways to get traffic... And I believe that EAT gives people that want to put in the work a chance to prove and rank as a result of that effort... The rest about the "Americans and kicking them in the face" … I just leave that there...

So I am an architect and when I launched my firm in NYC I really struggled to get clients. I then started a blog and it was so easy to increase my site traffic which resulted in more leads and subsequently more projects. So far this year I have gotten 47 projects in my office for 2019 alone and it's only October. The point I want to make is that if you are a professional and you want more leads you absolutely should start a blog. You have some level of built in authority if you are a professional plus you have the knowledge and experience to have quality insight on the subject. I recommend to everyone who is a professional in a field to start a blog for business growth. Now in the end of 2019 I am going to expand to KZbin and see how that goes.

I totally agree here about EAT being a mindset, you should aim to get EAT for your site for 'google' AND you should try and get for each of your content pieces for 'users'... what do I mean? Well if you start an article or a video with "As a doctor... "I was looking at my English Terrier and I wondered.. "After many years of research I have just... => these are great ways to start any content, our critical brains have their own EAT thing going on since forever!!!!

Hi guys, I have one concern. I have a page about cleaning various things (like how to clean this etc.). I have chosen specifically keywords that have low competition. I wrote 32 articles and now, after three months, my google analytics show organic search clicks happening at frequency of one click each few days. But the problem is that every organic search click has 0 seconds of session time! Do that clicks come from the google spiders? And will it impact my page anyhow?

3:04 Yet if you put all your eggs (efforts) in one website basket there will always be a chance that that a website might get slapped down by a Google Algo update at some point. It's not uncommon for G's updates to not be clear as to what caused the slap down of your site making it difficult to fix. Plus, some websites take months to recover and not all do. My current plan is to build 3 websites with about 100 articles each and hedge my bets.

Perhaps some smart viewer can answer this, In building authority, if I am the sole writer on a website is it still useful to setup an author info box to show at the bottom of every post? Or is an about me page enough? After watching the Income Schools couple of videos on EAT it has me considering how I am going to build my authority and expertise in a field where I have neither.
@PassiveIncomePhil
@PassiveIncomePhil 5 жыл бұрын
In terms of onsite EAT, you want to make it as easy as you can for Google to find you and your author details. So having a dedicated Author bio as a page in WordPress is a must and also having a mini author bio at the bottom of each post is also very useful. The Income School Acabado theme has a good on post author bio section already built-in. As for building authority and expertise when you have none, this just takes time and effort. If your site is about archery, then you need to buy a bow, shoot it, take a picture of shooting it then you need to join the archery community and start learning and sharing. After writing 30+ articles on archery, you'll become an amateur expert naturally. That's just fine. Your only battle is letting Google know that you are now an expert. Collaboration with others in your industry is just one way to do this!
