I really liked this... even though I seriously struggle with making connections and have always felt like my own island, I think there is a safety I found within that. I believe my experiences in childhood have damaged my view of people. I am working to change this. I am realising that they're are good people out there. You have to seek them out. Fat finger stopped my previous thought. The result of hiding our true feelings is that we also deprive others of insights into themselves. Sometimes the truth is difficult to hear, but it takes root, and eventually grows and blossoms into a new understanding. How else can that happen than by opening up, reaching out, taking a risk and also listening. We hold mirrors up to one another. Without this, we can never see our own truth.

Hi Su - we would love to travel more but Covid has stopped everything - we were due to do a film series in India and Singapore this year but both were cancelled. For us when we have the resources we try to travel and tell universal stories, for the last 3 years we have mostly self funded all our films so it has been a challenged, more recently we feel very blessed that we have patreons all over the world that contribute a couple of dollars each and now we are slowly getting a tiny bit of revenue from KZbin that helps so when this pandemic is over we will get back out there. Before my husband died I did not go out for several years because he needed me. Now that he’s gone I don’t go out because I’ve grown accustomed to it but also because the grief I feel, because of the loss, has taken over everything. I have 4k friends on FB and 9k on Twitter. They would never know. I don’t communicate anymore with any of those unreal people either now. I can see in this film reasons I need to start… pick myself up and maybe go somewhere. One of the messages carried through this film is that, when something is troubling us, we should have the courage to have an honest conversation about it, to express openly how we feel. This should come from a place of caring and love for the other person. And we should also to try and understand what others are going through? Maybe your friend is going through a difficult period and finding it tough to reach out? But also, not all friendships last a lifetime. And to recognise that sometimes we need to move forward is what is required. There isn't a simple answer here. But we send you good wishes for the path ahead. Much love. xx

Yes, it is so beautiful. And we all have access to this beauty in every second. Yet we choose to stifle it with the noise of chatter, the ceaseless activity of work or “socializing”. Just go and sit in a forest or a park or garden for half an hour and say and do nothing. Just look at each thing carefully, without judging or giving it a name. Just be there and watch yourself watching, so that the ego falls away like a useless husk. You are not your words or attitudes or actions. You are something deeper, ineffable and timeless. So stop time. Stop striving. Stop hoping or remembering. Just be in this one precious moment of awareness. Quakers have a saying, a kind of blessing they utter to others, and I love it: “May you come into the light”.
