Hi, girl. This vlog was surprisingly very emotional for me even though I know it's a personal video for you. My Mom died in 2017, and life hasn't been the same ever since. When she was still around, I've always imagined taking her to Italy, and touring her around. It had always been a dream of mine; a thing which had subconsciously propelled me to work hard and earn more, so that I could take her to what I think is one of the most beautiful places on earth. But life is a tad too cruel, snatching her away before I could even finish law school and work. Suddenly, I found myself with an itinerary and a traveller's map, but without a co-traveller to accompany me--both in Italy and for the rest of my life. I know I can still travel and go to Italy. Experience and unravel it for her. But we both know it wouldn't be the same, and I would probably be dragging my crying ass all over Florence. Somehow, however, watching this last night, felt emotional for me. Through this vlog, I somehow have a glimpse of what my dream trip with my Mom would have been if she was still here. Somehow, that eased the emptiness I have been living through; the frustration of having this so much love inside me with nowhere to go. So, I want to thank you for that. :) P.S. In case no one's ever told you yet, you're doing reall well. :)

I live in Düsseldorf it is a city in Germany. In Düsseldorf there is a district with a lot of Italian immigrants.There are also a lot of asian immigrants, so that we got a part of the town that is called “little Tokyo”. We have so many korean,japanese and vietnamese restaurants (so delicious). That district with the Italian immigrants is called “Gerresheim” and have a lot of very good fancy italian restaurants/cafés. I hope I wrote everything understandable 🤞

Oooh those are wild strawberries! In Sweden we call them "smultron" they are like small gold nuggets you can find under a short time during summer. :) They are a bit different in taste, I personally think they taste better than a strawberry. It's common to find a hay straw and put them on one by one like a bracelet and then eat them haha! Glad you liked it!

You'll find a lot of covert racism here in Italy, but the food is really good and fruits and veggies don't cost that much. So it's easy to live a healthy lifestyle here. Of course I'm talking about food you cook yourself and not pre-cooked vegan food etc those tend to cost too much everywhere lol and it's a total waste of money imo. Btw for your next trip to Italy I suggest you to eat in places called "Trattorie" and "Rifugi"...you can eat a lot of super delicious food for a little money.
