Congratulations on your find in such a "tough" market! Great to know you guys are always on the "Hunt" for deals and can even "Smell them" with your intuition, familiarity and experience in Lisbon. This video gives me confidence that you both know how to "stumble across" good deals as long as you are always on the lookout and patient. Did you care if the tenant wanted to continue the lease in perpetuity year after year? is there "RENT CONTROL" in Lisbon, Porto etc...?

@@davidleong6606 Thanks David! It is a tough market but definitely still possible to find a good deal. We cared of course, but it’s a risk we decided to take and thankfully ended up being a good one.

Excellent find Rafael & Mia! Congrats! Shows that you have experience, familiarity of the area and type of building… waiting on the great deals takes patience and preparation to act “first”. In the U.S. we can “lock it up in contract” to reserve it while you gain more information, is this a practice in Portugal? Is there rent control? Would you have been willing to wait 5 yrs. If the lease was longer?
