Me too! They looked great but like the WE 1911 with their floating guide rods they just do not cycle until you get a heavier spring. Just adding buffers and spacers to the extra long spring isn’t going to fix the issue either.

Mine worked absolutely fine for 5 rounds before the valve knocker sheared loading another mag. Designing a 3d printed replacement for it cos I'm assuming it'll work a tiny bit better that the stock crap, but still very sad kiwi here :(

Shame i can't buy one unless its in stupid colors , not like i haven't got a FAC and have access to real 9mm pistol at work but i can't buy a proper color plastic firing BB gun. Think I own an earlier version of these... works fine... mostly... To decock the hammer I have to be VERY careful though as it can't be done with no mag in it and if you're a bit rough it cycles the action with your fingers in the way... which is a bit painful.

Regarding that KWA: I have the TK45 C wich has the same gearbox from the looks of it. I bought it new and it had literally no airseal. 310-330 fps with 0.20bbs out of the box. With the whole airsystem changed (Nozzle Oring changed as well) its doing now 400 +-1fps with the same Spring. Shame on you KWA. On the other hand. Would recommend you to take a look at the Double Eagle M904G. I don't know how that thing can be so cheap. Decent polymer body, quite nice hopup/barrel assembly, amazing air seal, shimming only a little bit off and an optical sensor trigger/mosfet for less than 120€. Now I'd rather buy 3 of those than that damn KWA. 😒

I just sent back 2 we tech pistols, both had the same issues besides the mag not staying in the gun. We tech just shits the bed, probably done with that brand for a while. I have a few older we tech 1911s that have no issues, not the best gbb pistols but they work fine.

Can you do a kwa vm4 build/Review please? I just got my VM4A1 as my first official airsoft gun and I can't really find any videos or threads that have to do with upgrading the internals. I've learned a lot from you and other creators but a bit more knowledge can't hurt. My plans for now are to replace the hand guard, remove the carrying handle to apply a Red dot, swap out the outer barrel along with the front iron sight, and maybe replace the pistol grip.

What paints do you use on your builds? Manufacture and type please! Im pretty sure it’s not enamel or lacquer you’re using,& i’ve heard you say you don’t use Cerekote anymore so i’m very curious. I never get to see how well your paint builds holds up and are always experimenting with paints myself to find what works best. Typically trying to powder coat Aluminum and steel and flex coating a latex dye onto poly frames. Recently I even started plasty Dipping slides and hydro dipped a few rails and they’re holding up very well for non permanent finishes. After finally getting the custom trigger unit for my p90 project installed and testing it out just to find that now I cannot get any response in the semi mode on the selector (despite the whole point of the unit being that it eliminates the common issue of semi not functioning), I know this frustration all too well. Hoping it just needs the cutoff lever replaced but deep down I know it is gotta be something else and I am loath to open the gearbox back up. Feels like every product in airsoft is meant to fail via material or assembly qc, just like every product we buy today whether it made locally or overseas.

Any fixes for the air seal issue on the KWA? Took my KWA SBR10 apart to fit a Warfet the other day and found a shit ton of movement/badly fitting o-ring/bugger all air seal. Weirdly it’s still putting out between 340/350 FPS consistently on .2’s and around 270/280 on .28’s?

Negative Airsoft I have a problem with my custom m4 its not shooting 100 feet with 0.25g, the gearbox has a gate aster with 60% rof, precock and so on the fps is 323 to 325, the barrel is a 6.03mm diameter but its not shooting further then 30 feet away. Could it be the hop-up unit?, rubber or nub? I had a krytac ar47 and that was shooting 105 to 110 feet away with a flat hop using a 325 fps spring before it broke badly. With your wisdom on it what would you think is causing this issue for me?

Not sure if i had got the scond batch or wt. But the mag issue did not happen to me and it run around 20 to 25 rounds with 12kg green gas. However it is still shit since u still cant adjust the bloody hopup and 90% internal are the fucking same. However the black one i got the surface finish is pretty decent and i got one for £120 with marking

after a lot of tinkering and polishing parts and using modelcrafting grease and using blackgas to get enough gas into the mags to fire more than 8shots mine finally manages a whole 15round magazine. i wont recommend that as a skirm pistol at all oh, also i had to epoxy the outer barrel, because it was extremely wobbly

What a shame that the internals of this visually striking,iconic piece of History turn out to be made of cheese,not even pot metal. How disappointing. Within 30 rounds the hammer lost all interest in striking the way it should and just sat there like limp noodle. Why? What passes for a nut sitting below the hammer return spring had stripped the thread off the connecting arm. Some 12+ hours spent fabricating a replacement out of tool steel. Not 5 rounds later and the horseshoe shaped valve knocker snapped. Hooray. Back to the bloody workshop and a further 8 hours wasted fabricating something fit for purpose instead of the one supplied which was clearly made of fossilised seagull shit. It now works flawlessly. Until something else snaps. What will it be next?
