Here's my picks. 5k - Saab, no question. 10k - The E38 is just menacing man, can't avoid it. 30k - Lotus, but I don't deny the Land Cruiser is pretty cool 50k - ZL1. Sorry Pajero. 100k - Ultima track car. Kinda unbeatable. 250k - SLS is just unmatched coolness. The design. The sound. The experience. Unmatched.
@Schmitzelhaus20 күн бұрын
Agree with everything, except the 5k both kinda lost to me...😅 And 100k i would take the R8, simply because it´s actually usable and the automatic only was always the one single deal breaker for me with this car.

Another new watch for Thomas … this time a Mido Ocean Star GMT. I’ve had my eye on that one for a while, but my wrists are too skinny for it. We have the same taste in watches, brother, but your Speedmaster is beyond my budget. This Mido is more like it for me. BTW, I’m Jay … you drove my Testarossa two years and two million subscribers ago! And, yes, the TR is the reason I can’t afford expensive watches. 🤷♂️

My used first car was an 81 Saab 900 turbo. I loved that car so much. Drove it to 200k miles. Often the dashes cracked, the glove box door warped and the head liner droopped but other than that they were pretty solid. I only got rid of it as the specialty mechanic went out of business.
@YelCan3 ай бұрын
My brother had one and loaned to me for one year while I was in grad school. I loved it. I still love it. Even though it wouldn’t start if there was a cloud in the sky. I carried gas with me and dripped it in the carburetor I think. Other than that a near-perfect design. Owned a 9-5 and a 9-3 sport wagon. Be very happy if someone made a SAAB-like fastback now. Sticking with my 2012 Acura ZDX for the time being.
@brent73rn3 ай бұрын
@@YelCan I got pretty lucky the previous owner took good care of of it being 10yrs old at the time and I made sure to maintain it well. I later got a 95 used but the GM electronics really were an issue. So many gremlins, I finally had to trade it in. Oddly a coworker was jealous of it and thought it was some kind of luxury exotic. I’m dude it’s the same price as a nicer Honda Accord.

@Heyitsallgoodman3 ай бұрын
Separate channels help algorithm
@XanielMarino3 ай бұрын
Yeah lower production value and the KZbin algorithm is weird. If they posted stuff like this on the main it wouldn’t get recommended as much by the algorithm because it already has that channel in a niche(car reviews) so anything that isn’t a car review wouldn’t get pushed the same. Like the other comment said a separate channel helps them get properly promoted in the algorithm
@johnheath88823 ай бұрын
Love this! My two brothers and I, as children, frequently played this game while on the road in the back seat of our K-car station wagon. In the end, my cement truck would inevitably drive over all my brothers' choices, making me the winner. Anyway, the game is much different when you can actually afford and get the cars you dream about. Cheers to that!

That F80 M3 in Sakhir Orange is fire (although the pics make the color look better than I've seen of it in real life...maybe just needs lots of sun). Also, the RX8 beats the Saab in the $5K category. If the engine blows, you just get to do a fun LS swap. So even if you lose, you still win!

And in the parking lot that otherwise contains Toyotas, Hyundais, Jeeps, and the odd American pickup, there double parked in two of the front parking spaces was a Phantom and I was so stunned by the size of it, I forgot to take a picture. I left to get groceries and it was gone when I came back. What a monster of a sedan.

My first car after i got my driving license was a Saab 9.3 Cabrio. I saved up almost 4k and wanted a cheap BMW back then. My Mum and Dad wanted a "safe" car for me. So they doubled my budget and talked me into either a Volvo or a Saab. We found that beautiful looking white 9-3 Cabrio with the 2L engine for 7,25k. And the rest is history. Up untill today im rocking "swedish" cars. M current daily is a Volvo XC90. So +1 for the Saab pick! 😃

What they picked (ordered Thomas vs James) and my thoughts: $5000: ✅ 1985 Saab 900S vs 2009 Mazda RX-8 🚫 $10,000: 🚫 2001 BMW 740i vs 1997 Toyota Century (V12) ✅ $30,000: 🚫 1995 Toyota Land Cruiser vs 1999 Lotus Elise S1 ✅ $50,000: 🚫 1998 Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution vs 2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE ✅ $100,000: ✅ 2022 Ultima GTR vs 2012 Audi R8 GT Spyder 🚫 $250,000: 🚫 2018 Rolls Royce Phantom vs 1991 Lamborghini Diablo Coupe ✅ Thomas you were close with the Phantom, but the deciding factor was the caveat that this was "If someone rolled up" presumably to Cars & Coffee and I'd think people would lose their minds over the Lambo vs the Rolls. Admittedly I put less weight on value for money for most if not all my choices and more weight on cool factor/driving enjoyment.
