Years ago on a weekend backpacking trip in Alaska me and three friends were sitting around our campfire after dark when a cow moose walked through camp. Literally right between us and right past the fire. All we could do was stare up at her, totally dumbfounded, as she strolled through and back into the night.

Hey guys long time patron. Love the episode. My daughter and I did some back country hiking camping and driving near Creede last year. I dropped a little bad news on you a few months ago about some cancer I was fighting. I won. Cancer free now and can't wait to get back out. Your episodes sure have helped through both good and bad times. Keep up the good work and look forward to seeing your new episodes. Maybe one day you will pass near OKC. Would be great to meet you guys. Have a blessed day. Mark Denney

You both are showing and teaching her things no school ever could. My hats off to you both. God bless and safe travels.

I'm another Kevin from Tennessee. My wife and I drove Stony Pass with 2 other families about 20 years ago. The views and the super dark, super clear night sky made for the most amazing star gazing and THE best camping experience I have ever had ... to date.

As a summer/fall resident of South Fork much of the area you travelled was very familiar. Glad to see you visited the old mines on Bachelor Loop in Creede and the surrounding forest. The Ouray/Silverton Lake City Telluride area is spectacular. Thanks for capturing it on video.

Oh my gosh!! I found your channel only a few days ago... first comment ... I think I'm addicted to the channel. Sadly, I'm so drained of the every day grind. I so badly want to get out and experience the country, like y'all, with my young son.. it's the reason I bought a Jeep (please don't judge 😁🤣).. in the first place. Just haven't been able to make it happen. Plus there isn't much around North Georgia where we are... maybe I'll luck out and find a way to gain income that allows more time to actually enjoy life, and the backwoods/trails of our beautiful country.. Thank you for the great family friendly content too.. it's truly appreciated. I can't stand watching something with my son and all of a sudden it's tons of language that'll make a sailor blush in shame.. Can't wait to view more! Question ... is that Tennessee tags I see??

Sorry to say but I’ve missed a lot of your videos for the past little while because we had a little boy but now I’m back and catching up. Wow how time has flown by! Your little one has grown so much in the last year it’s crazy and I almost didn’t recognize her. Life seems to be put on fast forward and there is no regular speed version of life after you have a kid lol (at least that’s how it feels to me). Thanks for the vids because I’ll never be able to do anything close to what you guys do even though I would love to do it. We have a 5th gen 4Runner Trail edition BUT I also have a spinal injury and driving takes a significant toll on me for pain. Keep the adventure going and can’t wait to see where you go next. Canada.

I just installed the twenty four gallon long range America auxiliary gas tank on the 5th gen 4Runner. Thanks for doing the video months back. Based on several suggestions for height and clearance for the departure angle. I chose the smaller tank. Now to install the rear load Bering springs. Safe travels and much health...

My name is David. I just ran across your channel while browsing 4Runner over landing. I saw that you guys passed through New Mexico and I was wondering if you had any suggestions on any beautiful public land that me and my wife and daughter can venture off to. I live in Albuquerque, NM. After watching your channel and others, it makes us want to get away for a few days. Thanks for inspiring us to get out with the great content you put out. Have a good one.

Check out his enchanted Rockies trail. That passes east of ABQ. Also check out earlier this season. He does a forest road that goes around the north end of the Valles. Lots of good trails in the Jemez mountains. Go to ranger stations and pick up motor vehicle use maps (MVUM). Those will show you the dirt roads through the forests. Cibola National Forest is ABQ and south. Santa Fe NF is around SF and the Jemez, Carson NF is north near Taos or Chama. (There’s also the Lincoln and Gila NFs if you want to go further south.

WE had rats setting up residence and chewing out wires in our then new Subaru Forester, just out of dealer in less than 24 hours. We parked overnight in one of the hotels at the foothill of Zion National Park. Engine light was on. Drove back to dealer in Vegas and we had to pay $400 for replacing some Engine Harness and they said that was not part of Warranty. That was two years ago.
