3:52 thats me besides them with the bright yellow ranger and orange beanie! Flite test is a huge part of why I got into flying rc planes, and when I found out Edgewater was within an hour of my house I was there the same day! I'll certainly be returning soon as Josh and his crew are the absolute nicest people! They welcomed me to fly there with open arms and while I was kinda starstruck to meet the guy that taught me 90% of what I know about flying, Josh seemed just as excited to meet me as I was to meet him!! Can't wait for our next trip to edgewater. Ps we made a lot of memories that day as it was my 8 month old daughters first ride on a real swing (It was a rocket ship swing of course)

Nice decal sheets. But you need to have a "reversed" U.S. flag for the starboard side of the plane. The union (the blue field with the stars) is always toward the front when displayed on a moving vehicle or object; such as on the starboard side of a ship or plane, or on the right shoulder of a U.S. military uniform. And great looking planes!

Can't wait to see the NTSB accident report on this crash. Here are my guesses as to what the contributing factors for the crash are: - Pilot of the Corsair failed to maintain situational awareness. - Pilot of the Zero failed to maintain a safe separation distance. - Cameras for both aircraft were set up in a way that restricted the vision of both pilots. - Lack of communication between both pilots to assist in locating each other. Additional Factors to the crash: - Usage of external equipment that drastically affected the center of gravity and/or aerodynamic form of the crafts. - Lack of spotters or controlled airspace to assist pilots with situational awareness. Recommendations to avoid this accident in the future: - Encourage better communication with all pilots in the air. - Using spotters and/or controlled airspace to help maintain situational awareness of both pilots. - Switching to camera equipment that provides a better field of view. - Mounting hardware so it lessens the impact of flyability in regards to center of gravity, distribution of weight, and air foil/aerodynamics. The FAA will probably cite the pilot of the Zero for violating 14 CFR § 91.113 (b) "General. When weather conditions permit, regardless of whether an operation is conducted under instrument flight rules or visual flight rules, vigilance shall be maintained by each person operating an aircraft so as to see and avoid other aircraft. When a rule of this section gives another aircraft the right-of-way, the pilot shall give way to that aircraft and may not pass over, under, or ahead of it unless well clear."

Sure, in a civilian world, a comical review but this was WWII wartime re-enactment and not over American soil 😂🤣
@jackielinde75684 жыл бұрын
@@raymondblanchard2213 Google says Edgewater Airpark, Ohio... So was over US Soil and (more importantly) in US Class G airspace. And, unless the reenactment is using US owned aircraft by currently enlisted military pilots on active duty, the reenactment still falls under FAA regs. EDIT: Even if the USAF (or one of the other branches with aircraft) were doing the reenactment, It would still fall under the FAA. BUT, the NTSB would more likely be assisting military officials in determining a cause instead of leading the investigation themselves.

They needed six motors on a giant A-10 to get an airsoft gun and a camera BOTH off the ground, and the pellets could barely ding the foamcore of the target in the rare event they scored a hit. Don't think the tech is there yet. Maybe 5G will have the bandwidth for a cellphone-based system that doesn't have to haul around a heavy video transmitter. Laser receptors on the model that would disable a control surface, reduce engine power, or set off a smoke bomb or other pyrotechnic depending on hit location is probably the way to go for now.
