As a Finn when watching your videos from Lapland I just wanna scream: Somebody please tell these people how to dress for the winter :D They should have some kind of guide in the airplane what to wear.

leather boots must have a warm lining and accommodate not just your feet but one or two pairs of socks.. I prefer a thin pair under a thick pair. Nobody who is dressed properly should feel cold unless it drops to -20°C with a fierce wind... then you might need to wear a robbers full face mask or s Balaclava.

It hasn't even been cold yet. Normal nice winter weather 🤩 It's always a question of how to dress. The long cold period used in January then the frosty weather can rise to -30 degrees and above. In summer, the sun does not set, it shines at night 😍 and the days can be hot if it is +30 warm 🥵

I visited the Santa Claus Village back in 1993 when I did my military service in Finland, The Santa Claus Village has changed a litlle bit since my visit :)

@@JacobandJennyTravel Yes it does 🙂 when I visited the Santa Claus village I participated in a military exercise North East of Rovaniemi at one of largest military exercise areas called Rovajärvi. The tourist att the village got little bit shocked when me and few others from same platoon entered the village sporting our camo uniforms that was already a bit dirty after spending some days in the forrest 😁

I am sure ! it is now a business ! The story of Santa Klaus was A German business man how watched the kids hardly dressed for the winter as they did not have cloths and their shoes was far bigger than their size and get that idea before Christmas ( could be Hanukah's mitzvah ) that he would buy all cakes biscuits chocolate and sweets and put it in the bag and when the kids came around the 'showered ' them with all this.... the kids took some of it home to their families who also starved and they called him for Santa ( as in a Saint ) and his name was Klaus.

A tip to better cope with the cold is not to wash your face in the morning, do it the night before instead. This is to keep a small grease coating on the face that protects against the cold. And of course to get moving if you freeze, wiggle your toes and fingers.

@@JacobandJennyTravel It was actually in the military that we learned this. I live in Sweden, a neighboring country with Finland, and even here it can get really cold in the winter. A whole bunch of guys out in the woods had no one to make themselves nice for so we left our face all week, but I understand that you otherwise want to stay reasonably fresh. But is it e.g. -20 celsius (-4 F.) and you wash your face before going out, you risk frostbite damage to the face.
