In my opinion, I think RWBY should have a crossover with Young Justice. There could've been a scene between Jaune and Artemis Crock/Artemis/Tigress where they lost those dear to them. Jaune is losing Pyrrha at the hands of Cinder and laments his failures of saving anyone on time. Artemis losing her boyfriend, Wally West/Kid Flash after being siphoned by the weapon of the Reach in YJ Season 2 Invasion. I mean, that scene could've mean something when the characyers of RWBY and YJ have a moment of grieving together for their two lost friends and teammates (Pyrrha and Wally). That's the crossover I hoped for.

@@miln25 Damn i'm kinda frustrated now cause the idea it's canon somehow...breaks the charm of the show. I mean i'm not a big fan of DC so i hoped it was non-canon. That would mean the next RWBY's season would have to be influenced to the plot by the crossover and/or mention it at least as a cameo to make it officialy canon. And i fear it will get messy in future cause multiverse stuff can quiqly goes messy.

I actually really liked this 2 part story i felt like it did justice to rwby fans and also giving new insights to dc characters. We get so many bending formulas. The age change the worlds of each series and the time displacement also i loved the interactions woth certain character weiss and batman were sweet. Green lantern and Jaune had some good moments. Cyborg and RenNora were fun even if it was a lil melodrama. Yang be8ng more worried about her sister and if im not wrong pt1 takes place during thier training in volume 7 around the same time as Rwby arrowfell while pt2 is set durring the first for weeks of being back in Remnant so either early volume 10 or like way into the future post volume 10 but before volume 11 I'll be honest adult Green Lantern was hot af

I'm writing this comment for those of you who haven't been able to go to the RWBY wiki while volume 10 hasn't been officially confirmed yet, one of the writers did say that they are working on the scripts. They will be incorporating story elements that they were going to include in episodes 11 and 12 but were forced to drop due to Rooster Teeth shortening the volume. Again volume 10 hasn't been confirmed but due to how popular this show is, it probably will be and the crew is getting prepared for production. Also I should restate this, I got this information off a wiki so it could be wrong but as long as the writers aren't annoyed by constant questions they might respond to questions on social media or streams. Ok I just did some research where I read that Volume 9 has only been released on Crunchyroll and it won't air on Rooster Teeth until next year due to a weird deal they made so they might not announce volume 10 before volume 9 airs on Rooster Teeth.

​jonathanbarr9764. lol, The grain of salt has been taken. I checked out TV Tropes. I believe the exact wording they used was "A tenth volume is in development." Not quite the same as 'in production.' And no other sites have proclaimed V10 as actually in production. They are probably working off the statement from CRWBY that V10 is being written despite no green light on production. (Hence the term "development'.) I'm guessing CRWBY put that statement out to 'keep hope alive' as it were. Not to mention an effort to keep interest up and merch moving, as I am sure both are diminishing. I think a lot is riding on the second movie. If it doesn't do well..... Neither will prospects for a V10 green light. imho

I do feel bad for writers of other shows who are constantly asked by their "fans" why they aren't working on more episodes despite no news of a renewal even though they might be: 1. Working on another project 2. not getting paid if they do make more scripts and 3. Worst of all might be under a strict contract that prevents them from working on news scripts for the show when it's not in production. I thought my previous comment was poorly worded and so I deleted it.

It is astounding to see that a series that's been out for a solid decade have the same issues in nearly every season or supplemental bit of content.

This whole movie was just a really fun time with a lot of great character interactions. IMO , Weiss , Yang, and Flash kinda ran away with it having some of the better moments. While Ruby had her cool action sequences - I kinda felt like they were retreading some topics that had already been explored before in V9 involving her mom. However the inclusion of *why* was very nice. The "wanting to do as much as I can before I go" was both really heavy and extremely sad. Putting it into perspective that Ruby does feel like she is in a Lose/Lose situation. That note in, particular, is one I hope to see get explored in V10. But lets dial it back to talk about the best scene in the movie - Weiss at the Cafe. [ Im about to be a big dumb nerd please excuse me ] So, I've run this movie back like 8 times now. Mostly cuz yo girl is over here trying to find fun screen caps to make renders out of for memes and emotes n junk, but every time I do I come back to this scene of Weiss, alone, in the Cafe. At first I thought "oh it's a Weiss moment ofc I wanna just kinda sit on it." But really, it's just a VERY nice shot with a lot of symbolism that goes really hard. Whoever the director was for *this* moment really knew what they were doing. Gimmy a moment while I nerd out over this - The empty chair is the central focus of the shot. Naturally, your eyes will also be taken by the window as it's the only light source in the room / brightest object before allowing you to fall onto Weiss herself. Her positioning is in a corner, beneath a picture of Beacon, and she is made to look *small* . ( yes she IS small but in regards to the shot she is put into a position where that size is being pulled to the surface thanks to perspective where you can compare her to the size of the chair, bench, table and the chair in the foreground looking larger than her. ) Symbolically, an empty chair ( especially in regards to this shot ) represents a missing person. It's a symbol of loss and loneliness but can also indicate the hope of a return. The window above it would generally indicate the desire to *escape* or allude to wanting a different type of life. Sitting her in a corner is also pretty big and rolls into the other two elements noted so far. The corner position is one that isolates a character and gives them the lowest risk of interacting with others. ( by choice ) Its a very guarded place to put them. "Back to the Wall" or "Backed into a corner" situation. All the while siting beneath a picture of Beacon. As if to say "This is still hanging over them" both figuratively and physically. This is all brought together with a single POV shift where we see her looking at a child and parent. Soon after she calls Klein who she is surprised to see pick up. ( This *could* indicate some *other* issues but Im not gonna get into that here ). He makes a note about her father, the POV shifts again and the Parent & child are gone, she refuses to talk about it further. Anyway, sorry for the essay lol. I been rotting over this for a lit min and it's just bugging me how dummy good that one moment is. Sadly they don't really repeat this level of depth as the film goes on. As soon as they get to the DC world everything just kinda speeds up to the point of backgrounds and setting being sort of moot to a degree. However, It really gives me some crazy hope for V10 on how they'll handle character moments going forward. If they take the care they did with that Cafe scene and doubled it up with the Yang & Ruby convo - V10 would just be INSANE. And I'm 100% for it.

I do hope she gets to shine in Volume 10 they might set it up but we have to see what the actual volume brings us. Gotta mention this man, RWBY x Justice League isn't canon to the main RWBY shows continuity. It's 'canon adjacent' meaning it does take place after volume 9 but they won't make ANY mention of these events in volume 10. Kind of like how the DBZ movie The Legendary Super Saiyan takes place before the Cell games but DOESN'T get mentioned in the main show proper after the cell games.

9:45 - Yang needed Ruby ? She ignored her Obvious Depression and when Ruby broke she just stood there protecting Blake. I think Yang should be Ashamed of herself and deal with this Problem. Insteat she is worried about her Sister falling 30 meters down (+/-) and doing her Job

I think people forget about Yang's abandonment issues. For once someone actually came back to her and her team and she would understandably cling to that person (Blake) especially when being thrown into an unfamiliar world where things just happen at random and their only collective goal was to get home. So yes, everyone was distracted because of their unusual predicament. And let's not forget that Yang ended up in the Ever After after shielding Ruby from Neo and falling off the platform first in Volume 8. She's always been there for Ruby but no one has ever been there for Yang. I mean even Ruby left Yang at the end of Volume 3 which is why Ruby acted awkward the first time they reunited in Volume 5. At this point though Yang is still blurring the lines between Parent and Sister, so that's where her questioning her role in Ruby's life comes into play. I remember Ice Queendom touched on it a bit better as the original just skimmed through it when Weiss had accused Yang of doting on Ruby. Even Taiyang brought it up so it was a source of conflict with how much she should "let go" of Ruby. It's a question that parents ask themselves as I do myself as we constantly berate ourselves for either being too much or not enough. Everytime Yang asked what was wrong (to Ruby), there was either an interruption or Ruby herself would just brush it off and change the subject. So it's not like she didn't notice. She just didn't have time to react with everything happening. As for protecting Blake? That was a parent move. I'm a parent myself and when I see my kids fight, guess what I'm gonna do? I'm going to stand in between and play the buffer. Also take most of the impact of the person being yelled at while letting the other child know that they need to cool down. That right there was such a "mom" move that I've done countless times. So no....Yang should NOT be ashamed. Yang is human. Humans have flaws and even anxieties that lead to those flaws. Being a care taker for years didn't exactly bode well for her childhood and well into her early adulthood and then there's the never ending question of "Well the caretaker takes care of everyone but who takes care of the caretaker? Finally Yang found one in Blake because Ruby sure isn't doing it. Ruby never even expressed her "Thank you" verbally or showed much concern for Yang's well being unless you count the Volume 5 "Yang" Trailer. That was the only exception. I mean in Volume 2 when they're fighting Torchwick in that Mech he was in, Yang is getting her ass handed to her while Blake yells out in worry. But Ruby is just standing there explaining to Blake how her semblance works. Even if her semblance is basically a power meter, Ruby just stands there while Yang takes the hits. And it was addressed in Volume 6 that Yang DOES feel the hits as she absorbs energy while Adam doesn't feel a thing as he just absorbs it through his sword. But I digress. The main theme of RWBY has mostly been about forgiveness over spite. So I don't think either girl would hold it against each other because that's not how unconditional forgiveness works. It's not about owing anyone anything. Forgiveness is the path to letting go of past aggression and hostility in order to heal. All of Team RWBY's entire journey throughout was learning from mistakes and learning to move on from them and grow. So this sentiment about Yang being ashamed when she literally threw her life on the line for Ruby several times is absurd and tactless. This attitude reminds me of Yang's Yellow Trailer quote ironically, "Scathing eyes asks that we be symmetrical, one-sided and easily processed. Yet Every misshapen spark's unseen beauty is grater than its would be judgement." Lol, I'm certain this will go unread but if it doesn't then great. By the way, as you can see I love exposition and I love talking so I'm unapologetic about this document I just typed.

The only time her abandonment issues have come up prior were with Raven abandoning her as a kid and Blake abandoning her after the Fall of Beacon. She expressed no such issues during their time in the Ever After. The fact that Yang tried to protect Ruby from Neo makes her carelessness towards her in the following volume all the more baffling. She shouldn't expect Ruby to always be there for her if she's not willing to return the favor.

She’s had to suppress her feelings for a long time and then when what she perceived as her identity being taken away, she’s coming from a place where her confidence in everything is diminished. When people are depressed they’re usually not in the right state of mind. The same way, Ruby wasn’t in the right state of mind. Every time Yang asked what was wrong in V9, Ruby deflected, by dismissing it. And then getting interrupted by whatever craziness was going on in the Ever After. Which all the the team sans Ruby, we’re still trying to process. Ruby already knows (in V5) she abandoned Yang, by her dialogue when they reunite as she was apologizing to Yang for leaving, meanwhile Yang approaches her and tells her that she loves her. Yang is still in her journey of learning how to not blur the lines between parental figure and sister and it shows how much of a coming of age story RWBY is. Ice QUEENDOM does a better job of showing and explaining how much of this is an issue this is for Yang as it was pointed out by Taiyang, Weiss and Blake for not letting Ruby getting out of her comfort zone and learn to become resilient on her own. I have the same issue as a parent myself when I ask myself if I’m doing too much for my child or not enough. Weiss and in some cases Blake, had the chance to see Ruby from a different perspective. Outsiders tend to see a person differently from relatives. Immediate family sometimes cling to the images of what they grew up with or who they raised and don’t easily see what outsiders see past their adolescence or formative years. Yang had never seen Ruby blow up like that as she had indicated in Ch8. She implied that she’s seen Ruby upset and this wasn’t the version she was used to so she didn’t catch it. But this show is about learning from circumstances and adversity so that’s the continued path for RWBY and crew. For Yang, she had many themes, learning forgiveness for Blake, learning not to jump to conclusions for Weiss and for Ruby, who had her character development last of the group, it was learning that she’s neither Raven nor Summer and that she needs to let go of her previous role now that Ruby is practically an adult. It’s also learning to trust her. Because trust was a big issue for Yang who was always waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Also, don't forget they had that night in Jaune's hut where Yang or the others could've taken the time to talk to Ruby, but she was too busy enjoying her new girlfriend to care. She already saw firsthand how distraught Ruby was in Volume 8 when the Amity Tower plan didn't work the way she'd hoped, so she'd should've expected her to be even more torn up after knowing how the evacuation plan failed too. She should've known that just because she's the leader and usually the positive, optimistic one, doesn't mean she's unflappable. She's just as capable of experiencing sorrow and despair as anyone else. Not to mention how she was willing to protect Blake when Ruby started yelling at her, yet when Jaune yelled back at Ruby, blamed her for everything, and made her cry, Yang didn't do a thing. It just adds more fuel to the idea that more often than not, Yang puts her girlfriend over her sister. Just because she's supposedly letting Ruby grow up doesn't give her the right to be negligent towards her well-being.
