The Golden nugget is the coolest multi garage project I've ever seen done. I'm hoping to get Robby and crew interested in finishing my 72 Malibu. My dear friend and painter had a stroke during his 9-5 and passed in 2009. He was in the middle of painting my Chevelle in his spare time. At the same time in 09 that Dennis had his stroke, I was having major back surgery. Im a disabled veteran and I'd like to have Robby and his crew finish it. Ill be emailing him pics and the story. I'd appreciate any interest shown. These guys are the best at what they do. Can't wait to see Eds face on the reveal. The parade was sooo cool. Great gesture helping out the veterans in need! WOW !!! I have no idea what a project like this would cost a client? So many flat rate hours and custom work in labor cost for all parties involved. Great work guys
@karlschwaber95682 жыл бұрын
The best body guys, like Robby, get a minimum of $60/hour here. They worked at least a week straight and about 18 hours a day during the build week. And that was just the finish work and not the body work. Crazy amount of hours. Plus a different chassis and drive train! My guess would be around $60k.
@rayseal10992 жыл бұрын
Paint and body easy $10 k plus. I would say total about $20k.. Plus $$ the bike and trailer. Budget 30k with labour parts.. A body /painter about $150 a hour in australia
@joelvanderploeg67332 жыл бұрын
You heard him say thousands of hours. Thats thousands with an "s". So at least 2000 hours. $60/hr would be below operating cost for a shop like that. 2000 hours at 60+ dollars per hour = $120,000+ or the worlds most expensive Suzuki LJ20...
@rogerfrancis652 жыл бұрын
Minimum of 100k!
@RVMD952 жыл бұрын
The work in this vehicle would be 750,000+ most likely double that when you add in parts and labor. I have a friend who works in the restoration business. He restores 1950s European race cars and a bill to the customer at 1,000,000+ is not unusual. This vehicle here reminds me of what he does to his vehicles. He told me you paint a Pinto or you paint a Ferrari there is no difference in price as the work that goes in is the same. The trick is make sure in the end the vehicle you’re working on is going to be worth the price of admission. Of course this one is not. But when you add in how awesome Ed and his friends are you can see it’s more than worth every penny. Keep up the great work guys.

There is something so satisfying about taking something that is just about ready for the junkyard and bringing it back to life.
